Interestingly enough, this was composed by Masafumi Ogata, who also worked on Sonic CD's JP OST (with Naofumi Hataya). No wonder why those beeps starting at 0:58 remind me of JP Wacky Workbench. Anyway, this theme is unbelievably complex! I'm extremely impressed this was pulled off with the YM2612 soundchip.

This is one of those few Genesis games that's able to play 2 different DAC samples at the same time. Most other Genesis games are only able to play one sample at a time.

Crying world has such a good theme only for one reason The meaning behind the song is that while the utopian planet that the main villain conquered looks nice but it also hides a dark secret from our eyes that he is enslaving multiple people as prisoners and slaves to bulid his empire.
