My mother was a fan dancer among other kinds of dance in Burlesque in the 1930's. She told me that it was never ok to showing part of your body. The fans had to cover every inch of you through the entire routine. She had 2 gorgeous white ostrich fans twice as big as these. Her two trunks were stolen around 1937. She stopped dancing, married my dad &had me.
I like the idea, the set is just right, piano perfect. Rita Lynch is pretty lady and she has a nice routine. Do you think they use those large musical instruments on stage during another part of the show? That might be a fun place.

beautiful woman, nice moves. but i thought the idea of a fan dance was to wear nothing and cover oneself-mostly-with the fans. Revealling one's- magnificent- body in sheer silk and then picking up the fans seems counter productive.
