I am certain that Harry has watched the interviews his mother did about prince Charles and the royal family. After watching Harry's Oprah interview, I honestly believe that Harry blames his father for his mothers death and aims to take revenge on him, as well as the British Monarchy. I believe that he purposely married a woman who did not "check all the boxes" intentionally. He chose a woman who is Non British, an American, and an Actress, non white, non aristocrat, as well as someone who is ridiculously disrespectful and just as eager to take down the royal system as he is. In West Sumatera - Indonesia, we have a saying “where we are at, there we have to respect the sky above us”. Meaning we have to respect the tradition wherever we are. Even if we dont agree, but because we are the guest of that region we need to respect that region’s tradition.

As an American who has been to Medieval Times, that is NOT what I would imagine meeting Her Majesty The Queen would have been like. I imagine meeting the Queen (had I had such an opportunity) would have filled me with a range of emotions: honor, excitement, nervousness, etc. I would have hoped I would have done everything according to the book in regards to how to dress and act in front of the Queen. This curtsey scene in this documentary is really an embarrassment. Not all Americans are like her. I loved the time I spent in the UK during my work abroad program. I embraced the culture when I was there.

Exactly, even in Japan they bow each other to greet each other. In UK, when you meet the Queen, you curtesy! How much of an asshole does one need to be to think you don’t have to do any of these customs when you are exposed to other peoples culture. Disgraceful. The other day, someone argued about the curtsy is stupid and due to Harry's comment about royals marrying wives that fit the mould, that person also started to trash arranged marriages in India along that line. I argued till that trash went quiet, if not wrong, I think she removed the entire comment post. I think it is so rude to trash someone's customs and traditions just because she thinks hers is better. I don't see their divorce rate being better and their men kneeling down to propose should be abolished if curtsy must be abolished as she said. I do think she realised her mistakes, so sad that youngsters these days aren't properly educated in school but are taught all those woke movements, abolish and cancel anything that is not to their liking.
That's the point in a nutshell. Customs around the world differ. I would understand if they had expected her to do a "Heil Hitler " kind of thing, but it's just a curtsy,, a small bow. Lots of countries have similar customs to show respect to elders and and important positions.

Very well said. If it’s tradition in a culture that you married into, to curtsy, you do it. And you certainly don’t mock it in a documentary, where you trash your husbands family and an entire country, while complaining about not having privacy.

She would have been taught by the Palace aides. If you are invited to meet a member of the Royal Family, no matter the occasion, you are given instruction on what to do, how and when to do it.
