It’s funny because the deck didn’t actually change that much having Ulti Cannahawk limited. The loops were mostly the same, the only difference being that you couldn’t dump Cannahawk off Rampengu anymore (a noticeable consistency hit I guess). You’re also hit harder by warning and strike (judgement too but that was banned for a while I think). Even now there’s effectively no difference between 2 Ulti Cannahawk and 3 (the third one should probably be a second link 4 tbh)
no it wasn't lol being vanity's or skill drained while playing against towers was not fun and neither was being djinn locked under nekroz unicore. or being endlessly boss monster looped by BA and shaddoll that just returned the means to summon their extra deck monsters as soon as you get rid of them
Hearing that Ritual Beasts taking 4 minutes for it's set-up being seen as long in 2015 while Infernity was capable of taking a 6 hours turn back then is very funny. Even more so when you remember that said 6 hours of looping Trishula to delete your opponent's everything was just the first step in disabling every card in the game with Psy-Blocker over the course of 140 days.
I love Cannahawks new art! Not just cause it's really cool lore the idea that Elder has passed the mantle onto Winda, but also that Cannahawk is going so hard flying that Winda was NOT prepared, she looks so goofy!
@@DustdeviIs No, the lore is: - Her, Reeze and Kamui were the last remnants of the Gusto tribe from Duel Terminal Lore. - Winda and Falco get Shaddolled and as a result stops aging. - Kamui becomes Ritual Beast Tamer Elder and the Ritual Beast tribe takes over from the last remnant of the Gusto tribe. - The shaddolls are defeated and Winda and Falco are unshaddolled and freed (that's what the art of Ritual Beast Return shows). - At this point we don't know what's happened to Reeze yet, but Kamui is now an old man. - Kamui reunites with Falco in Return, but passes him off to Winda which is Kimunfalcos.
@@randomuselessvideo8807 The dragon? Oh that's just Toatie, Shadow of the Yang Zing, all the Yang Zing get Shaddolled too at some point... Not sure why they picked him over Puloa though since he was the Yang Zing Winda rides as a Shaddoll but Konami do be weird sometimes.
I like how this deck uses ritual beast cards to end on ritual beast monsters as opposed to using a bunch of different engines or using it's monsters to end on generic stuff
@@xxheroesftwxx6930tbf, using the nemesis stuff is basically engine. You can put back your banished extra deck monsters to use again, and protos can banish your stuff from GY to set up for more plays. It’s stupid not to play those cards in this deck
@@xxheroesftwxx6930That's just a bonus, really. With Nochiudrago, Banshee and the Nemeses are your best way to extend through Nibiru since they're so easy to access, let you climb back up to Reirautari and continue playing from there.
@@Ragnarok540 idk any other deck that could run Banshee, search Nemeses Flag without jumping through hoops. Rampengu/Hawk gives you the cost for the nemeses stuff. Even before then RB lists would use Dragon Ruler Tempest to help combo. Its 2 extra cards in the Main deck. Or 3 if you want Protos/Colossus
The meme about Ritual Beast turns taking too long was less about the turn one specifically being too long. Other decks from previous eras could pull off even crazier combos on the first turn (infernity, Gishki hand loops, full power Sylvans, etc). Ritual Beasts were looping Ulti Cannahawk for searches over and over EVERY TURN. As the game went on and the Ritual Beast player got more names in rotation, the turns could get even longer. I picked this deck up from Duel Links (please give us Steeds, Konami) so I’m not exactly sure how time rules played a factor in all this. The topping lists from 2015 that I’ve tested out didn’t run Gagaga Cowboy, but maybe people did try to cheese wins in time that way.
Time Rules were different in 2015. As once time was called, the current turn is turn 0, and from there you play out 5 turns (each player gets 3 turns, including turn 0). And after those 5 turns, that's when LP is a deciding factor.
Should be noted - RBs strength in 2015 was the fact that it had a good Nekroz match up. You could play through Unicore easily and kill thru Valk. Djinn lock was annoying, but Steeds could out it (as long as they didn't have Gungnir).
Will be super fun to play in Masterduel where you can click glowing buttons and abyssmal in Paperplay where you actually have to track the Special Summons
Master Duel was the worst thing that’s ever happened to my skills in the TCG. I keep randomly forgetting cards I have in grave because it’s not glowing and letting Flamberge reborn 2 instead of chaining Mudora.
Playing the deck in paper adds another layer of complexity on top, since you'll also need to keep tabs on which names you have in rotation and are able to summon. Overall, most basic combo routes are pretty simple since you just have a bunch of 2 card starters that get you into the same Cannahawk Loop a few moves in. But it's a very skill intensive deck, you'll oftentimes need to adapt on the fly to play through interruptions. The Nemeses' also make for great extenders, since you'll probably find a way to Reirautari from there. And if you can hold Nochiudrago for after you get Nib'd you get to Banshee easily.
Recently messed around with Ritual Beast with none of the new support except the continuous spell in a slower custom format. The look on the balance team's face when I set up a turn 1 steeds for six was priceless.
Time to be a nerd… lol in the summertime you pay your local school, municipal taxes. The IRS doesn’t have much of anything to do with them. They’re handled by your local tax collector and or treasurer. If you don’t pay them they then go to whomever your local school or municipality designates to collect said delinquent taxes. I never thought I’d really get to use this information so that’s why I’m currently typing this…😂
what is this decklist :( gaia is not just a lot of attack you use it interchangeably with apo as a nib chokepoint. any hand with a beast this becomes an omni and your only source of spell negates. Worse case its a psychic to pitch with pengu.
This deck will prob drop hard its good dont get me wrong but not nearly good enough to be considered tier 1 contender the best it has going dor it is that its arguably the best shifter deck rn
Don't sleep on Pettlephin people. I had games when I could not get over monsters like Chengying and his bounce effect saved my bacon. Perfectly fine as 1 in deck that values having many different monsters in it.
I’m not a fan of prosp in the deck personally, but I know I’m probably one of the only ones. Also, book of eclipse in this deck is extremely strong and also plays around nib if you have it too since they can be contacted face down also!
The irony is that you should have won against Snake Eyes but really should have lost against Melodious without a really lucky draw and Melodious prior not hitting on one of their MANY one card starters instead.
how to pronounce the new link three: "spirtual beast ulti- rei rau (wrawr (the last "r" is silent)) tari." or if that third letter is actually a "t" instead of an "i," Ret etc. etc.. you are welcome.
You can play colossus and it hurts a lot more than protos a lot of decks it would have killed those snakes eyes and u could go for the link 4 instead ultigaia pelio last duel and hold the trap a little bit more and that game would be a win
Tbh the main Hand-Trap that was in issue for them back in DUEA format was Maxx "C". You can dodge Effect Veiler, Imperm, Ghost Ogre using their bounce effect. Ash CAN be a pain but, the number of times your opponent opens Ash is roughly equal to the number of times you draw a starting hand that can deal with it lol OH! Nibiru can be pretty annoying too but, now their's a Link you can go into to protect yourself from that soooooo. I honestly don't think they had that much trouble with Hand-Traps. What was and still is, very annoying, is their inability to deal with Backrow(Steeds couldn't target divine temple so you didn't have a choice between the token and it, steeds only works on monsters) and the occasional difficulty getting over monster's with over 2600 attack lol
Dear MBT, can we pretty please get a custom banlist community tournaments going, with you as either the ban-council or with addition others of your choice? I, like many others, are really burnt out of "Yu-Gi-Oh!", though I believe that it could be so much fun if we just restrict the right cards.... Regardless of whether or not you read or conduct this, I shall thank you for the usual entertainment you have provided to me, as well as your many other viewers of long- or short-term alike.
I Love the Deck and it needed the new cards so badly but i do prefer summon thundra collosus in it cause its Just a good floodgate. Its a really fun Deck and i Love the artworks so much.
This serves as a potent reminder that the people we choose to love truly come to represent us fully. Seeing Joseph contact fuse between his beloved normal self and his beloved wife and beloved dog shows how the divine self comes also from our bestest friends and family. God bless America.
I did enjoy ritual beast back in the day, and I do still love the art, but I'm not sold on the new cards. They don't look very good at going second without shifter.
Glad Joseph got to showcase a newt deck that he thinks is rewarding to invest lots of time into. Wish in tier lists and other content he’d acknowledge other decks that have that potential tho
