Thank you for the video! What villa were you guys located in? I'm headed there in the fall and would love to request this one as it looks more secluded than the ones in the circle!
Hi there! Our specific villa was #228. It had a private entrance and was close to the main island where the restaurants and bars are located. The circle, while great in theory, and very pretty, requires you to bike a bit of distance to get to any of the amenities. We often saw guests staying in the circle requesting pickups and drop offs from the staff via cart to go back and forth. Hope this helps. Have a great trip!
Thank you so much! We picked December mostly because our work schedules had more flexibility during that time to allow us an extended vacation. Luckily, it was also a great season for the Maldives! 😊
Quick question - I see that some villas are accessed from the beach (but are still considered over water) and then there are others arranged in a circle around a boardwalk which are more out in the ocean (and obviously over water) - what's the difference, apart from the access point? Are the room descriptions different? Thank you.
Hi @paulbrooks8068! Thank you for watching. There are no differences between the rooms along the boardwalk and those that have private beach access. The layouts for the over-water villas are the same. I will say, though, that getting to the islands restaurants, bars, and other activities is a little easier from the private beach access suites. The suites along the boardwalk are farther away and require a longer bike ride or shuttle pickup by the staff. Having snorkeled the area under the boardwalk and the area around the beach access suites, I definitely think that the beach access suites (at least on the ocean-facing side) having better snorkeling and more reef to explore. Hope this helps!
you too are cute!... the ritz carlton maldives is so so, the room i mean, kinda looking 'old'... i have watched Four Seasons maldives, it looks much much better, more beautiful and amazing, it is like a dream place.. have you seen it?
We have not but will check it out next time! Alice is a Marriott member so we were able to use our points for the Ritz, hence we never really looked at any properties outside of the Marriott group. Definitely will explore a different property if we ever get to go back!
@@nathanandalice i see :) ... i saw the four seasons maldives from this vlogger : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-osYS5xv2OMQ.htmlsi=uWd-NRktqkH9q1M5.. its price is pretty steep though, so i will only enjoy the video unfortunately lol ..keep it up for more videos
It varies by season and can be pretty high during popular months and around the holidays. We were fortunate enough to use Marriott points to pay for the stay as Alice used to travel a lot for work and had some saved up over the years. It was definitely still pricey, but felt worth it for an once-in-a-lifetime trip! 😊
@@nathanandalice did yall upgrade to any food/beverage package? My wife and i will be traveling to the resort in November. Looking for best option for F&B. Thanks so much and video was amazing!
