@@markvillarreal7408 hi Mark! Oh I didn’t realize you were going to Cancun - thought you were off to Cabo for some reason. Glad you liked the Riu! Now that it’s open to Canadians, I’m seriously tempted to try it!!
Hi Nicole! Are you booked into Elite Club there? That's a great location for having so many other Riu's to visit - tons of pool options (although the beaches in the DR are so amazing!). Thanks for watching!
I love your videos, and they're very informative. I just recently subscribed to your channel. I saw your video on Hotel Riu Palace Aruba. In your opinion, what is the best-inclusive hotel in Aruba? I have never been to Aruba. I am planning my trip for next year. Is Hotel Riu Palace one of the best to stay at?
Hi Dana! Thanks for subscribing & watching! Aruba doesn't have a ton of all inclusive resorts but the Riu's are the best traditional all inclusive resorts. There are a few others that offer optional all-inclusive but that's kind of a pain because you have a restricted menu and drinks and you have to sign a check every time you order something. At least with the Riu, you know everything you see on the menu and all the drinks at the bar are included.
Hi Vanessa! It really seems to vary, depending on the resort and the specific dates. March tends to be very busy, as it's Spring Break, so that will either increase the price because there's greater demand, or, if families don't splurge, that will create a surplus of rooms and you could get the upgrade for a very good rate. Impossible to know how the rates will change but you should be able to inquire on the upgrade cost now. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kam! Ugh I wish I knew that! They (Riu) don't want us (Canadians) to book Riu Kukulkan for some unknown reason, so I get blocked from seeing info about that property. In fact, I'd probably have to drive to Washington state to book it because I don't have that option from their site from here in Canada. It's a lovely resort though & I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time - enjoy and please let us know how the Elite Club is!
Yuck ! One of the things I loved about RIU resorts was the fact that everyone was equal and there was no “club” status. Hate to see them join the pack with this change. We are booked for the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres but never saw anything about a elite club mentioned. Guess I will need to go back and take a look. Even the name ELITE CLUB just sounds snobby. Yuck !
@@briannwo1900 Hi Brian! I think it's something they're slowly rolling out and the only resorts that have officially been chosen to offer Elite Club are Riu Palace Macao (already), then in December, they'll add Riu Palace Pacifico / Riu Palace Jamaica / Riu Palace Baja California, then in Spring, it's Riu Palace Antillas. No others have been announced as yet, so you're probably not going to have to worry about it.
Hi PrettyFlyTraveler - it's not an extra fee, it's part of the room cost. So the room is in a better location, with optimum views and you also are going to have these inclusions. Each location will be different for pricing and it's all based on season and demand, so rates will vary. I just had a quick look at some dates for Riu Palace Pacifico and Elite Club rates are loaded, so you can pick a random date that might work for you and see the difference. Cheers & thanks for watching!
Hi Lisa Marie! Yes it will but it'll be interesting to see how this impacts the regular bar service at Palace resorts, as they currently have International brand liquors. I think you'll see higher end (aka more expensive) liquors (eg. Tito's Vodka or Grey Goose) at the Elite Club and regular brands (Absolut & Stolychnaya) at the non-Elite bars. Thanks for watching!
Hi DazDisco! I’m not aware of any regional restriction for this but if you’re looking for an air & hotel package rate, it may depend if the tour operator has the rates loaded. You could always check by looking at the Riu Palace Pacifico or Macao sites and seeing what comes up. Those are the only 2 resorts with Elite Club so far…
