Let me start by saying we had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. One of the reasons we end up staying at this resort is because of the different places around the area and also because we wanted to explore this side of the country for future visits.
Our reviews are unbiased. That's the reason why our videos are bit longer than other youtubers since we record as much as we can and comment as much as we can, so that you can have a really clear idea of the places we review. In another word, less research more time for you to do other things :)

That is somewhat correct. As mentioned we picked this place to stay because it was cheaper than the one next to them and we were visiting other places around Costa Rica.

You probably went already but we took I believe Costa Rica number 2 best transportation company. They are all good. Safe to travel.

When you had the other full bed placed in the room, was it just a mattress in the floor? Or they set up an entire whole bed? Thank you!

Is there any taxi available to go to the closest city, or can you have some out of resort local food?

There are taxi available but I’ll recommend to reserve them in advance, that way you can get the best price. You can reserve them from the hotel lobby

I'm booked to come here with my family in April next year. There's now lots of really bad reviews on trip advisor that I'm now considering changing my holiday. Are the rooms as awful as the reviews?? Is there lots of things to do outside of the hotel. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm now becoming really anxious. We're from the UK so this is a big holiday for us.

The hotel is NOT a 4 stars ⭐️ hotel but it’s also not a 2 stars which it means that it’s not that bad. If you get there and you don’t like your room you can ask to be moved to a different room. I’ve done it on other hotels. The other question you had about what to do around the hotel, well there is a zoo and zip lining a few minutes from the hotel, coco beach is near by. The other places we visited were a bit far; about an hour and some 2 hours away, but worth the ride. Go to Tamarindo beach, you can rent a van with the driver and he will drive you wherever you want.

@@JohanOnSet I've changed the hotel to the Margaritaville. It's a smaller hotel on a much nicer beach. It looks much nicer!

What airport did you fly into and how long was the driver to the resort??

I think it was 45 minutes from the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). Our private bus was already there waiting for us ITL Costa Rica. No issues with transportation
