We agree! The first time we saw them in concert was opening for Black Sabbath’s last tour. Scott CRUSHED it! The band as a whole are just so incredibly talented.🎧
Scott is such a cool dude, absolutely killer player and I could hear him talk about his gear and stuff for hours.. I really need to listen to this band more, they're awesome
I love this band!!! Darkfighter is awesome! Everything they do is awesome! Scott has become one of my favorite guitarists. His use of effects is very musical. Not everyone who uses effects like this is.
I never heard of rival son's - the clips of the band in this video sound pretty good. This is probably my favorite sound of any rig rundown I have seen. Great tones from clean to really dirty - the insane modulation sounds are wonderful. Great vid.
Saw them at Sonic Temple for the first time and was absolutely blown away by the guitar tone. Honestly was a breath of fresh air from all the high gain stuff. Love it!
love that he uses guitars that aren't popular in the music scene and plays what he likes and the guitars are beautiful and im a huge fan of scotts playing and Rival Sons;

"It's heavy, but I got this nice strap to wear" Too funny! At the same time, too real! Having a nice, wide strap on a heavy guitar makes it more comfortable to "wear", because the weight is distributed across your shoulder more than a thinner width strap would.

I want that Sparkley Orange Gretsch as a 7 string. Ironically they used to have the George Van Eps model 7 string. I would love a 7 string Firebird as well.
I love Rival Sons. I don't know why but i was expecting something big and complicated with lots of pedals and amps. Then Scott Holiday goes "i went digital" so i thought "oh, so his rig must be simple" then he shows 6 amps, 50 pedals on a shelf and a controller board for the Line 6 that has 30 switches on it 😀 His guitar tech definitely deserves his paycheck 😀
I love how he’s telling us what expression pedals do what yet we do t have a camera on any of it so we have no idea which one he is talking about. Nice job
Lonnie Mack had a Gibson Flying V in the 60's & played 1 Of 5 until his passing... Lonnie played one with SRV You can find videos of that & of Lonnie playing his in the 80's P.O.W. M.I.A. Never Forget
I got to see RS with Greta Van Fleet at the Honda Center earlier this year. My only complaint is that they didn’t play a longer set. Awesome band! I think it’s really cool that his rig is basically a Line 6 Helix. Makes me want one.

I'm trying to follow all of the routing, but it seems as though the pedals on the right are before the HX floor, as is the volume pedal. I'm basing that on where it's located, as well as a rig rundown he did with Sweetwater before incorporating the Bradshaw rig
Try one out. I did a trial run on a USA 2014 Firebird V for a couple of weeks. They wanted $2k for it. Beautiful instrument with the cool tuners. Feels different than most guitars. Long like a baritone or a bass. In the end, it wasn't for me. Sounds thinner than a Les Paul or SG with humbuckers. Mini humbuckers do sound pretty sweet with lead tones in a Firebird. You can find FBs with regular humbuckers, which is cool.
I also like the fact that he has a lot of pedals but USES them all. Cant understand guys with boards full of strymon goodies and racks full of shit that still sound like theyre plugged into an ironing board
@@pageluvva i'm with ya. and there are still cabs onstage, so its the exact same experience for everyone involved: the crowd in the front and the band onstage to feel some air being moved by bass & guitar. people just need to have something to complain about instead of focusing on what bring them joy. ah well
@@iwillnevergetone5 Great point about the cabs on stage "pushing air", well said. I look at all this like I look at relic'd guitars. The obnoxious haters make me laugh. If any guitar you buy inspires you and makes you happy then go for it. "What brings you joy", again well said.
