I don't know why, but Riven saying "You're so close, friend!" right at the end of the Queenswalk just hits different. That, and Savathun's laughter as the heart is deposited. Only by slaying the Ahamkara and doing exactly as she wished have you granted Savathun her victory.
hads down, this is the best fight of the franchise, and the music makes it even better, the way it changes and evolves with the fight makes every encounter absolutely epic. Wich leads me to the question of how did bungie thought it would be a good idea to fire Michael Salvatori!?!?!?

Definitely a great reason to run it legit if it still plays that is iv heard it doesn’t anymore sadly. I still remember my first run and we done it legit as we didn’t want to ruin the experience by cheesing her. I’m so sure this played and it just hit perfectly. By far one of the biggest and most dangerous bosses in d2 on par with oryx. Unlike oryx tho who doesn’t pose much of a threat during the encounter riven is constantly moving and changing her attacks. Along with the constant room switching and mini puzzles to progress then the time you get to meet back up with the rest of the team just to drop again. Perfect if you haven’t run this legit it’s a once in a lifetime experience I’d recommend
yeah, even if they did nerf the cheese and the damage dealt each floor, the pimples mechanic would just burn literal chunks of health from Riven... First time me and my clan mates reached the first DPS phase, we shoot one third of her health bar... Then we went back on plates, descending, shot all pimples, boom, back to the ascendant plane to do the jumping puzzle into final stand. at least we experienced the full Riven legit fight, and boi was it good..
You know that part of the SpongeBob movie where Karen is talking about planktons tiny fingerprints and then he looks at his hands? Someone should make a meme of that but we’re plankton looking at this brand new void auto rifle as riven says we’ve created an age old bond with her.
the sound ques i heard on dps phase was only snipers and then for "final stand" rockets, whisper, tractor and then titan sentinel shield, warlock winters wrath, nova vortex, chaos reach and hunter golden gun (marksmen) and on the heart part i heard seismec strike but if u were to hot swap to arc after dps phase itll still take a bit to get it back unless u picked orbs up to get ur melee back, near final stand someone is using wastelander to destroy the heart and a titan using sunbreaker, also someone using legend of acrius and nova. reload sound ques on "one last wish" is a lightweight shotgun reloading, lorentz driver, heir apparent. near the end of queenswalk someones about to be sucked cause of the sound of the bubble getting smaller...End :D
As what Saladin did in the lore tab that took him weeks to become by fighting a Ahamkara by himself to the point his Axe was melting’ We too became Dragon Slayers. Or in this case’ Riven’s Bane.
Iv been waiting for when rivens death will be relevant again. Also the “last known ahmkara” always sounded like to me there was another and there kinda is with the uncorrupted egg.
@@adamboy0559 For sure, from the teaser bungie have put out it looks like we are seeing a taken ahamkara and I presume this will be the same one having hatched from the taken ahamkara egg we saw Mara had a while back. I don't think the one we've just acquired is necessarily the one we see hatch, but perhaps it will play into getting us the wish we want by saving the ahamkara species because of this egg. After all, Guardians previously hunted them to near-extinction.
@@MrJakeasaur98 maybe the hand is way too big to be a newly hatched ahamkara. Perhaps Riven will return in some form of way like a spirit or ghost as it looks almost transparent.
@@adamboy0559 I suppose, but we last saw the egg during season of the lost iirc, almost two years ago, and Ahamkara have the ability to shapeshift, so why couldn't it just appear bigger than its age?
Only time I ever 3 phased I think so atleast it was a while ago was few days after the raid think like 4-5 I got a team and we ran the raid mostly blind with some insight due to the streams we’d all watched of it. Took hours but I was great vault gave us the hardest time for Riven it was just the damage but we knew about the heart mechanic due to watching many teams fail on it during thr raid race, can’t remember if the song changed each time tho
well a whole guardian who spend alot of time to find the last 15th wish for a year involving actual leaker and hacker but that was hidden in savathun wing because savathun craft it by herself for to tell crow going to the pale heart with cliffhanger ending and had to wait 6 month to wait osiris progress about the veil research big W to savathun not just messing with guardian ingame but also guardian in real life 😂and also f*ck you sony to make crow doing solo eldern ring difficulty in corrupted traveller pale heart alone for 6 month
