Its just tough everywhere Chris, at our club picnic last week our chairman commented that its the worst season for him in 46 years! Still you have managed one of the best lines in any fishing video that ive heard "chances are the next time i see yer im going to be up around soggy arse" 😂 damn near dropped my pint👍
Cheers. it's been hard to find the motivation, but I couldn't sit still any longer. There's still a muckle yin wi my name on it in the river, and I've made it my mission to at least get to to rise before the seasons out.
@@thetattooedangler Yeah not been to the Almond for a while but fished the Tyne but it’s so low and like a jungle . Mainly fishing Whiteadder reservoir which is great for small brownies 👍
Good to see you out again. Nothing happening up this way either. Been over month since I was out myself. May / June should be the best time of the season but this year has been the worst ever. We really need serious rain now. Completely lost my fishing mojo.
Aye, Its been bad eh. I was thinking about you yesterday, and assuming that you were having the same trouble I am. I've all but given up on the trout for now, and will likely do a bit of mackie bashing just to keep my hand in. Cannae believe that we've broke the rain in Scotland. How did we manage that?
@@thetattooedangler Best of luck mate I might have a go at the mackies myself. Arbroath cliffs is pretty good. Trouble is these days I'm such a clumsy auld bugger I'll likely fall in and droon! 😂😂
How’s it going Brother I’m only 11:00 in just wanted to mention the onslaught of the low flying planes about the land I’ll never forget the 1st time I experienced them I was not far from where you are in the middle of the river i about shat myself 😂 there was barely a warning before it looked & felt like I was about to be ran over by a plane 😂 it took some getting used to 😂 👍🏼🏴
I was in the almond myself this morning. Hard going, should have gone out this evening now we have some rain!!!! I’ll get on the WOL in the morning though so should be ok.
Alright bud, just getting back in to fishing after many years, liking for east to get to places in and around Edinburgh to get out and about with new rod and reel and some lures
for lure fishing then the union canal, and around the harbours along the coast would be best i reckon. we have a no trebles rule on the almond, but you can fish with single hook lures there when the conditions are right.
