I subscribed to a bunch of Disneyland RU-vid channels last year in preparation for a trip. Yours has has been the most informative, easy to follow, and pleasant to listen to. I wish I had found it sooner!
I’m so glad to hear this! As we continue to grow, hopefully more people will discover our little channel and it’ll help people. That’s all I really want to do is help folks plan for their trips. I love planning. It’s my favorite part of a Disney trip. And I’m happy to help others with theirs!
I’m glad you got to see it with everything working. Often the pirate ship scene doesn’t have the characters up in the rigging (they just run on the deck), and the dragon is/was nicknamed Murphy for a reason. I like shifting towards Big Thunder for the fireworks for the better view of the fireworks themselves (which I think you might have done). I didn’t even consider that it would make it more difficult to capture the projections.
What a heck of a view u had...I'm jealous...LOL...I had a big fat pole blocking mickey...I was right by Pirates but towards the far left...I wish i could re live my 2015 trip...Have fun for 2.5 days @ WDW...
Great video! Thank goodness you and Amy saw the show with the dragon in its full glory. I did the same River Belle dining package last summer. Looks like the menu has changed. Very interesting.
They change menus often I feel. Maybe not too often but I guess at least once a year perhaps? Yes! I’m glad we got to see it since we’d never been before. Poor Murphy.
First time I cried, watching your vlog. I love Fantasmic. No I didn't cry because of Murphy. But yes, that is sad. The food looked great. I would've ordered what you ordered Traver. The dessert a toss between yours and Amy's. I laughed at the worker behind you when you were talking. He was cracking me up. All types of emotions I had.

It should be opening again this weekend from what I read. Murphy the dragon will even be there. Just in an altered state. Hopefully they get him fixed soon.
This is so helpful! We're booking a Fantasmic package for September (hopefully the fire is back by then, but who knows), and I've been wanting to see where the seating is. We'll be doing Blue Bayou instead, but the seating should be the same.
I am so glad I stumbled on this video. Just to confirm, if we cannot get the premium package, are you saying we can just make a normal lunch reservation and ask server to "upgrade" to a Fantasmic show package (the sooner the better) to "guarantee" a spot for the night show?
Correct. Provided it’s Riverbelle Terrace, as this is the only location that does this. Also provided Fantasmic is running. The dragon caught on fire in April and the show hasn’t been back since. The last reported date was that it’s closed through AT LEAST Labor Day, but no official reopening date has actually been announced.
Your seats were great! I did the Hungry Bear fantasmic package a few weeks ago and did not have good views of the fireworks. My son kept asking me where the fireworks were.
I didn’t quite see where the hungry bear folk were. I saw Blue Bayou next to us. They had front and center for Fantasmic and probably the best view of both fireworks and Fantasmic.
I’m so glad you got to see Fantasmic in all its glory! Such unfortunate timing with the review though 😂😭 we have/had the premium package scheduled for June and we’re just praying it will be somewhat running again by then (without Murphy obviously). Fantastic review as always, my husband and I love your videos! You guys do such a great job making them helpful and to the point. Hopefully we’ll get to run into you when we come!

We enjoyed this vlog so much! The food all looked amazing! That is a great tip to know for the fireworks packages. We are guessing if you go with a standard reservation and if there’s still tickets you pay to upgrade your dining reservation?
I did. Yes. I imagine as soon as the area is cleaned up and safe they’ll keep going without the dragon. That’s only such a small part of the whole show.
Where I was seated was fine. It would have been nice to be closer to Harbour Galley solely for the camera view. But you could see both just fine, it was just my camera that had to keep turning back and forth.
It doesn’t hurt to try. But everything I’ve seen is that they’re all online reservations now. You even pick which showing of fantasmic you want to go to before you make the dining reservation.
If you would have had the kids with you would they also have needed to get meals to get a ticket? I’m trying to figure out is the tickets they handed out at the restaurant per meal or per guest. Thanks. Coming in June with 2 adults and 3 kids.

Hello! question on booking a fantasmic dining package. We are going in june, i snag a dining reservation at blue bayou this morning, do we get a voucher for fantasmic or is that only a dining reservation? I didnt see that there is also a page for fantasmic dining package. I read something about just asking the server in the restaurant about the dining package. Now im confused if i did my reservation right. Thank you in advance!😊
So I deleted my previous comment because I’m getting conflicting evidence online. As you have said. Their blog says you need a dining package reservation. Many people report needing the dining package and that asking your server went away in 2022. But the Blue Bayou page on the Disney website says “ask you server” so it’s confusing.

Do they make you sit the whole time (while waiting and while watching)? I want to do a dining package but am concerned that my dad’s back may not be able to handle that
You could probably stand while waiting. But everyone was sitting for the show. And yeah. It wasn’t very comfortable I will tell you that. I believe the Premium River Belle folks get actual seats. There were chairs in a different section. But that package is the hardest to acquire.
@@user-tx2bf3bv3u If you are in the very back of the reserved sections they allow you to stand (my sciatica really doesn’t like the concrete). You can still see perfectly from there. I will also bring an inflatable seat cushion which really helps. Right now, Hungry Bear has a collectible Fantasmic seat cushion for sale as well.
@@SoCalDisneyDad - I’m so glad you got to see it. I booked the Fantasmic Premium Dining Package at the River Belle Terrace at 3:00 am 60 days prior to our December 2022 visit. We got to stay seated at our tables and chairs at a special reserved area on the patio of the River Belle for Fantasmic and the fireworks, but you had a much better view for both shows. We had people walking back and forth in front of us plus CMs with flashlights ushering people through. Also I thought it was a good idea to have chairs (with backs!) for the show but they were the hardest chairs ever built. We enjoyed it but wouldn’t do it that way again. But I do hope it comes back … safely…. 🙏🏼
