I Miss Back In The Day In My Town I Grew Up In Kansas. They Would Say The Drivers Car# His Name and What Town He Was From, And What Year And Brand The Cars Were.
My first car was a Pontiac bontivile looking back at it dam that thing was embarrassing large and thank God gas was only about 60 cents a gallon because this car knew how to drink it and if I'm not mistaken cigarettes were about 50 cents a pack
We run Sbc engines due to how easy it is to get parts and they are cheap to build. So I don’t know about all the cars out there but it’s usually around 70 percent are Sbc engines. Then there are a few mopar engines and ls engines. But there are more ls engines every year so by next year I’d say almost half will be running ls engine’s.
I keep thinking that, sooner or later, the boxcar Imperials will be hunted to extinction, yet guys keep finding them, year after year. What kind of price are they bringing nowadays, anyway?
Oh no doubt. Sooner or later the rear wheel drive cars will be extinct in general. Vic's were the last car produced for the rear wheel drive cars and that was in 2011. Old iron probably doesn't have many years left in my opinion right now. Once their gone there gone.
@@GreatLakesThunderMotorsports yeah they made millions of crown Vic town cars ETC. but watch derbies on RU-vid at ur local fair or where ever most of the time that’s all u see is fordpanther cars it’s sad one day they will all be gone
Neither have I. Probably the last time you’ll actually see that many in one heat. That was my first time watching imperials going at it and glad that there was 2 dozen of them to see. It was awesome!
Here in NY where I am we used to run imperials but don’t really see them anymore they’ve been all used up. It’s sad wish we could go back and do it over again lol
