Great video Chris. We're heading up to North Qld again next week and will be in Port Douglas for a day. This trip is one available from the ship so we might look to do it, it looks fun. Thanks
Hi Chris, this sure looks like an excursion we would enjoy. We have never tried snorkeling while drifting. I am glad to know the water is too cold for the crocodiles!
I've done river rafting for sure...but never drifting and yes, not often looking under a fresh water stream either.... I probably coukd have done with less snorkeling 👍👍
It gets pretty warm in North Queensland too, so the cool waters are a nice relief for sure! You guys are in heat wave? I would have though it would be starting to cool down by now ....or at least a little bit :)
@@RichieAndVanessaTravel some thing I can't get my head around... our triple digits we would all be dead...lol. Glad your talking Fahrenheit but that's still pretty high
Hi Chris. Wonder how deep is the river water. My body height is 1.9m, I couldn't swim and I dont snorkeling. I was thinking to just stay on the float board all the way until the end, and also walknin the water. I just cant swim or snorkel. Can I participate? I can walk in pool and sea if the water level is not reach my shoulder. I think kind of phobia. Hope to hear from your opinion. Thanks Regards Toh
I think it depends on time of year and rainfall but 95% of the time, I could stand up in the river water. The tour goes in sections and you'll walk through the forest, go for a snorkel, 5 minutes of rafting, walk through the forest again, snorkel and then more rafting. So you won't be able to stay on the raft the entire time. You end the tour with a rafting section but goes through calm waters and your simply lying down on the raft enjoying the serenity.... it's this part I'm not sure how deep, but the edges are also not far away, so I presume it's not that deep. Honestly, I purchased the tour for the rafting side and thought there was too much snorkeling, so just stood on the edge of the water when people were doing that. I hope this helps 😁👍
