River Fishing with Tanaku Lodge- Southeast Alaska 

I've been to Tanaku Lodge four times now, and each time is another adventure. This last trip, we decided to go on a river day. We towed a small boat to the mouth of a river, motored up as far as we could, and then walked in a god distance to do some salmon fishing. Not only did we catch and released a BUNCH of salmon, but we also had some amazing wildlife encounters. The highlight was a sow brown bear and her two older cubs. If you find yourself at Tanaku Lodge, you must experience the river. You will not come home with fish for the freezer, but it will be an experience you will NEVER forget!
