Just listened to 10 different guitar versions, and this one, by far, best captures the musical essence. So many nuanced dynamic levels, loving articulations and graceful rubatos - because water doesn't march. It flows. It undulates in slight and varied eccentricity. Your interpretation breathes life into what otherwise would be a very simple, very reductant, very boring song. Your version should make clear to anyone playing this on a steel-string guitar that they don't even have the right instrument. Thank you. 1,000 likes.
