Caught on a size 8 Red and Copper Ghillie Fly I caught a third fish of 38 inches long approx 20lb soon after but the camera battery died just as I hooked it!
Hi There have been a lot of coloured fish showing on the River Forth lately but not much caught, we have had a lot of rain and it is still rising so I think if your coming here your best bet would be the River Teith at Callander
Hi Gavin On the River Forth for flies I use size 8 or tubes in the spring, size 8 to 14 in the summer and size 8 or tubes at the back end. Saying that it’s water dependent, higher the water the more likely I am to use a bigger fly. Mike
@@CONRANCAT I fished from Stabs to the Ford all last week had one Monday on a size 14 treble hot orange Allys it was 3lb bar of silver sea liced on the run off of the tide. Rest of the week I never seen a fish move all week it was like the river was dead not even a trout rose.
