I honestly thought Audiocal (Vocodah now) and Elissii should've gone through instead of River and Colaps. I don't know how in the hell they made it through. Now I'm happy they both made it through. Such huge improvements!
see dlow's 2020 wildcard judging livestream. Colaps, dlow, frosty and puls8 judged the 2020 wildcards together, its still available on dlow's main channel
@@lifeisoverrated7167 Nah I had him barely in the top 16 if we are judging objectively. Dlow is too biased towards his style. His execution of his performance was poor.
Dlow, please tell River that there were more than 4000 people singing that song along with him. 99% of people on the live stream would have been singing it as well. I go to bed humming that shizzle at the moment That tune is gonna be a timeless staple of beatboxing bro. Like Codfish's tunes, it's got into EVERYONES head.
This made me unnecessarily happy. Definitely one of my favorite elims from this year. Small tiny pitchiness at the end but doesn't matter basically at all. The piece is good and the performance was incredible. Big ups River. Edit: I'm sure I'll be listening to this and Alems elim like everyday.
Yes I agree, some small parts are off pitch but that is okay and can be forgiven under the circumstances. For example near the end like you said and also at 4:51 we can see in the video that even River notices it.
Wow! With River! Special Guests💜🌊 They were all great. But my favourite was River's Elimination I love the sound from around 3 minutes and 10 seconds, I listen to it again and again. River's technique and performance is amazing. I want to listen to it again and again. This is a great elimination! You can hear the effort that has gone into GBB21. I was looking forward to seeing what d-low's reaction would be 😂. I knew it would be that kind of reaction😂
It was the perfect elimination imo. Really good start showcasing his style, sick first 2 drops and then a remix of his killer wildcard. Every elim keeps getting better and better 💀
It was a very well performed piece for sure. D-low did pick up on the slight disconnect between the first 90 seconds and My Way which I agree with and also some very slight pitch issues in some of melodic parts but that is almost to be expected when the energy levels are that high live on stage and in the heat of the moment. Overall great stuff from River.
The thing that I told Footboxg And River in Warsaw was that I never saw anyone progres that fast!! After watching this elimination I can only say that It was beautiful, insanely technical, very good structured And my favourite elimination ever!! Big up Enzo (aka. River)!!
Nothing makes me happier then seeing beatboxers hang out! Just makes me smile man! Take care of and respect each other like brothers but compete like beasts
I'm very new to the beatbox community, so this is perfect timing getting watch all the new GBB videos coming out. It's been such an amazing journey discovering all these incredible artists, and these analysis videos are helping me better understand the technical and musicality aspects. Thank you D-Low and friends. ❤️🔥
The enjoyment this video brought me is on another level big up to both of you. The genuine happiness and appreciation for one another in the video brought me a lot of joy as well❤
As a beatbox-lover since 2008 I felt like this was a damn great elimination round. You certainly are at the very top of beatbox currently and there is no doubt that you will end up right at the top again next year if you prepare even harder now. You've been pretty excellent the whole time throughout, yet I feel like there are a few things you could improve on even further, to become a true goat: 1. Sometimes you lost the pitch on a few of your sounds/vocal-sound-effects and I saw you noticing them yourself in this video. This way is certainly due to you pushing harder on a big stage than you used to and because your very vocal style has just been developed like 2 years ago. You are 95% there man, but you need to push even harder to stay clean with your pitches even during really tough and exhausting parts. For that, you'll need to continue working on your vocals and breathing techniques. You are already top-notch at that, but you need to catch up with Gene on that. Zekka is also quite strong at it and might be your direct contender. Also, watch out for Inertias singing and musicality. I bet it's quite hard on stage. Even Stitch struggled with many notes. So keep learning music theory, train your vocal runs, perfect your pitch with a piano VST (always tuned correctly) and push the boundaries of breathing - the less you noticeably breathe, the better. 2. About the structure of this elim: I feel like opening with My Way would be a great choice actually. Doing a whole 3 Minutes with it and leaving the last minute for tech. It might be cliche today, but with your style and knowledge of music theory, you could actually manage to make it unique. I love your intro song though and it would have made a great round by itself. 3. Your tech is incredible, yet in a few battles and in your final battles ("Let me teach you how to count") you did a few slip-ups here and there. If you train so hard, that those slip-ups won't happen anymore and tech becomes easy for you, you will be unstoppable. I have a quote for that: What is difficult in training will become easy in a battle. Alem also said something about making it look hard, while it's actually easy. You, my man, are on another level, so impossible stuff has to be easy for you. 4. Confidence. You have been very confident and charismatic this year. Next year you have to be 100% comfortable and 100% SURE about winning this whole thing. There should be no doubt. Pure Zen, flow-state, and confidence. As Vocodah also said: it's not about the content is about delivery. IF you are 100% sure that your content is extraordinary AND you deliver it in a way that is unmatched - you will win next year. 5. Surprise factor. No comment needed ;)
Damn, now I wished you did this with ALL competitors reacting to their elim together..... This is some potential best content ever, it would be hard ofc to get ppl to your place, but monthly uploads of these would be great man. 👏
I listened to River for the first time when I got my first Tattoo, I will never forget that. His music genuinely means a lot to me. Thank you River! Seeing you succeed literally tears me up.
I love this guy so much. Ever since the first time I saw him I felt he is very unique and talented and that just he needs to refine his style. I am so glad I was right, the man is a beast now, and now when I see how cool he is and his personality, he might just become my new favorite beatboxer!
Honestly couldn't have asked more from his elimination, best elimination so far, didn't expect him to have this kind of quality on stage tho, he is so good
When I first rewatched his Elim, I noticed Reeps standing at his drop and my first thought was "oh man I wish I could see his reaction to that!" 🥲 So cool to see him realize it here! Grats River' my dude, amazinggggg set. Rewatching on repeat 👏💙🌊💙🌊💙
It was so good to see River watching this and to see him get emotional by the crowds reaction to his OUTSTANDING‼️ performance. I watched a lot of wildcards and River’s was MY FAVOURITE‼️ so I was really excited about seeing him perform it on stage and I was NOT disappointed, it was AWESOME‼️ you would have been N’o 1 River but I think after seeing D-Low break out his dance moves while he was judging, that King Inertia MIGHT have been his fave 🥴👍 Great video. 🗣💥🔥🇫🇷
River you are a beautiful performer and you inspire more than 4000 people in Poland the whole world needs to know of your journey I hope you truly found your way
Bro That was actually incredible btw, you are awesome River !!
Both D-low and RIVER are cute. This is the best explanation of GBB21 ELIMINATION of D-low so far. It's like a mischievous child after starting watching the video because the first Dlow river starts to explain it. The best. And the river who is pleased with the reaction of Reeps one 💛
i was so confused how he was not 1st, but i just remembered about King Inertia's elim and its a strong contender and i have no doubt dlow placed him 1st
not seeing the video yesterday evening as usual, I was so dissapointed, but now seeing River in the video i get why and its so good :D nice content keep it up
I thought it was a little bit unusual that this video wasn't out yesterday as you have been releasing these every day without fail but I just assumed that you are busy and of course you don't owe us anything. I was not expecting River to actually be in the video though, that is so cool. I seen on his instagram that he was heading to the UK but it didn't click with me that you guys might meet up. It was a different vide having the artist sit beside you and give his own perspective on his own piece but I loved it. I love that River noticed that Reeps stood up during the drop in My Way because it took me a few watches to notice that at first too. During the GBB when I was watching this live I thought his sweatshirt was cool but I didn't even notice that there was a river on it until he pointed that out here. That is such a small detail but so epic and I'd expect nothing less from River than to have every tiny detail covered. So good and imo he could have easily came first in the whole solo category.
