The butter eating is necessary for the meaning it carry. In Korea, "butter" is a deragotary slang used on locals deemed to be too American or Westernized. And BTS have had that accusations hurled at them all the time. With Butter, BTS is telling haters that they don't care what people call them, they will continue to embrace who they are, they will continue to roll, because at the end of the day they are bigger than whatever labels put on them (hence the Butter being eaten).

Yeah. He used to be a shy, not expressive boy and now look at him. He grew really well and became a man. I love seeing his growth not only as a singer but as a person. I think BTS hyungs all helped shaped his personality

I was surprised by how deep ur commentary about BTS is, regarding them as self-actualized artists who are confident enough to show their individual charms without competing with other members and remain humble with their craft. Jungkook's long hair is everything, I'm still a little disappointed he cut it all off so soon seeing as it took so long to grow out. It's his decision though. Jungkook also has an eyebrow piercing now and if you watched their online concert he was showing off his arm tattoos in all their glory. They also performed Daechwita and Chicken Noodle Soup with all 7 members, it was amazing.

Zak, that was the truest insight about BTS a person could have (re: them having complete self-realization as both individuals and a group). they've said and often implied that they are never jealous of one another, and they constantly speak about how so much of their identity revolves not around their own selves, but their existence as members of the group. they frequently say they'd be "nothing" without the others, that they never would have been successful. some of them are on record saying they feel their meeting could be nothing less than destiny (I know both Suga and j-hope have said this); all of them have said things to the tune of wanting to perform together for decades/make music together forever/stay best friends for the rest of their lives/be together until they die. whenever one of them has to travel somewhere by himself, he always talks about how lonely he is/was without the others. but something Jin said once really hit me the most: he said that the other members are like his wallet or keys or phone. if he doesn't have them with him, he feels like something's missing. I have never heard members of a performance group, especially _every single member_ of a group (and a group that large!) speak that way about each other. it's crazy. but it's real. and just like you said, members of a group who see each other that way are not trying to out-perform one another, outshine one another, compete with one another. Big Hit is very smart in that it doesn't encourage that behavior, either; the company fosters unity in its groups more successfully than I've seen in most other places. so good eye, Zak. good eye.

this is not bts related but i feel this is very worth while if you hadn’t already reacted to them before. 2pm has made a comeback after 5 years with Make It and its amazing i swear. I hope you guys react to them and enjoy the content because they are very worthwhile to watch.
