That wonderful moment of surprise when you find out one of your favorite bands has a new album on the way :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
When this song first came out, i thought "this shit is an instant classic" and four years later i'm still behind my words. One of my favorite songs from one of the best albums ever written.
Riverside is the most exciting thing I've heard in the last couple of years. From someone who grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, UFO, etc, listening to such a good sound nowadays is really rewarding (to say the least).
@@soupsandwich8940 I really enjoy the few songs I listened to from them and Steven Wilson in this solo career. Seems like I should listen to a little more. Thanks for the tip!
Great song from Riverside, as always. Just remember guys: Never listen to your fans, specially the ones on RU-vid. Just continue to make the sound you guys want.
It's a song about avoidant personality disorder. My friend has it combined with anxiety and it destroys his life. It's literally everything I want him to hear every time I see him struggling.
Sorry to hear man, my heart goes out to him. I hope he's able to overcome. I was in a very rough place personally so I can really empathize. You're a good friend man, he will definitely appreciate it, even if he may not say it verbally. My family and friends supported me when I needed them most, and now my bond with them is stronger than ever thankfully. Hang in there for your friend bud, this too shall pass 🙏🏼
+Camila Gonzalez If you like this bass line, check out 'Fascination Street' by The Cure if you don't already know it. It's arguably the inspiration for the intro bass at least.
Mensaje recibido .
+Cédric Vielvoye Good for you bro! I hope you have enjoyed your stay in my hometown. Btw: I would rather buy some albums from the other great Polish bands ,like Vader, Decapitated, Behemoth, Hate and many more I am kind of behind Polish music scene after all those years abroad.
+Cédric Vielvoye Sad news,as Riverside` guitarist passed away this morning @ the age of 40.RIP Piorek. To my surprise I didn`t know this band.I kind of miss Polish music scene while abroad.
I can't help but notice, but it seems so many of us complain when a band alters its' sound. But, we are also so chaste to complain when bands never change their sound. The fact is Riverside is still Riverside, and the songs are still primarily written by Duda, who also writes Lunatic and is heavily influenced by Steven Wilson. Personally, I welcome every little change we get with Riverside. These guys are talented, and offer the music world value and depth, which many bands lack. Would you all prefer they keep writing the same 3 albums over and over? I doubt it. Let them grow and evolve. If you don't like where they are heading, then don't listen. I like this new song, and I'm glad to see them changing a bit. Keeps me excited to see what happens next.
Muszart ~I agree. I don't want a band to just stay the same. It gets boring. Sometimes bands go in s direction we don't like and that's okay. I feel if I don't like it, I can always just listen to their old album.
I think I prefer their older sound, but this song is so meaningful to me, I think it might be my favorite Riverside song ever. It makes me feel so deeply.
With the demise of Chris Squire, it is reassuring that we have bands like Riverside who continue use great bass lines and melody. Accessible prog is in good hands. Can't wait for the new album.
David Gilmour! Soooo schöner prog Rock von Polen! Ich danke euch für diese schöne Musik
Why wasn't I listening to this LP in 2015 !!?? 😓 But I have been listening to it daily for more than a year, and will still listen to it untill deathbed !!!! Thank you Riverside. Thank you Mariusz !!! 🖤🤘🖤🖤👊🖤🖤♥️🖤👊
Sometimes it seems to me that Mariusz Duda is a pure Psychoanalyst, the lyrics describes one to one the mind of the recluse, the life of the one that suffers from avoidant personality disorder. Brilliant song writing!!
BTW I saw Votum supporting Riverside in London! They're absolutely amazing :) If you like this kinda darkish post-prog rock you can try George Dorn Screams also from Poland :)
reminds me of back to river ep. so good. love all this band's music. people can say lyrics are cheesy but they are still better than most of the music i hear on radio so whatever.
Z płyty na płytę półka wyżej. Wiem że to dopiero pierwszy numer promujący "Love, Fear And The Time Machine" ale w ciemno jestem pewien że przeskoczy SoNGS ;) Bravo Rivery!!!
