Riverside King HS - The Stars and Stripes Forever - 2010 Arcadia Band Review 

Almost 10 years to the day since this was posted and it still gets me teary eyed. I hope the King band is just as good today.

both 2010 and 2017 versions are amazing, hands down.

Hurrah for the flag of the free! May it wave as our standard forever, the gem of the land and the sea, the banner of the right. Let despots remember the day when our fathers with mighty endeavor proclaimed as they marched to the fray that by their might and by their right it waves forever!

Congrats to the students, staff, and band director of the Riverside King parade band for winning Sweepstakes at the Arcadia Band Review for the 4th year in a row. All elements of this fine SCSBOA parade band were firing on all cylinders to overcome some adverse weather conditions, and I loved the faster tempo and drive of Stars & Stripes.

Nice. I was in a high school band where my head director had a favorite saying.... winning 2nd is like kissing ur grandmother through a screen door. Needless to say we never took first anywhere. We even agreed to compete against the PSU blue band and beat them. We won first place at the Mardi Gras by beating 125 bands and were awarded the trophy early. I miss those days. No one could beat us. Some bands nowadays make me wanna throw up. Congrats to bands like this that can March keep straight lines and play with perfection.

Usually as a band is coming towards you it sounds great by as it passes by you start to hear the individual sections more than the overall song, not so in this video. The band sounded great coming, as they passed and after they passed by.

Holy moly that was good

Nice sounding and nice looking band marching in the traditional "Souza" style. Many Japanese High School bands are using Kyoto Tachibana's style of marching which is more interesting and more entertaining
