Your Riverside Lunches are by far my favorites out of all your videos. Knives, Fly Fishing, Japanese Scenery, and just how educational you always are. You definitely have something special here. Please keep making these videos.
After all these years of following you on your adventures, and listening to your reviews, it is still a pleasure. Thank you for sharing your passion and hobbies.
🤣 first time watching this channel. I love it. Whole different way of doing a garberg video. The priority is correct. Enjoying the process, the experience is more important than the tool, yet while appreciating the craftsmanship of the tools. We in America do it, we just don't video the process/ experience to the end. An exceptional video. 🙏🦁 From San Diego.
I enjoy watching your videos but I especially like videos when you are fishing and cooking. Thank You Mako for taking us along and enjoying spending time with you Sir. Greetings from Chicago Illinois and wishing you all the best my friend. Mike
Thanks, Dr. Virtuovice. I love nature like you as well. I live in Toronto, Canada. We have a least 48 beautiful parks in metro Toronto area alone. I've been in Hong Kong, China, Korea each year, never been in Japan. I hope to visit Japan neat future. God bless you and your loving family's. Cheers!
Great to see you back my friend, totally agree you can't beat eating fresh fish straight from the stream. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry
i want to take this tie to thank you for being a great teacher. i have learned so much more , i thought i knew enough but you really explained things on sharpening in great detail. thanks for explaining the natural hand movement when sharpening on water stones. i wish there was a way i can repay or send you a gift, thank you
I have been checking especially for a new video from you in recent days. An Arizona fly for a small stream. I am happy you reviewed a budget oriented bush craft knife. People can view your other offerings on how to convex a low scandi ground blade into a convex grind with a higher shoulder.
The Garberg is amazing, the handle gives you excellent purchase for power cuts and it makes amazing feather sticks with scandivex. If you use leather you can buff the handle so it becomes very smoothed out and grippy, I learned this buy using leather gloves through the winter it made the handle feel more like micarta. Its my favorite Mora knife now, it has excellent control its very well designed. Good to see you back its been to long.😉
Very timely. Just got back from 1 month in the Apache Mountains, Arizona, 200 miles northeast of our home in Tucson. Caught a bunch of Apache trout, a species native to Arizona similar to Rainbow. These were small, averaging about 10 inches long. Love to eat them; grilled and pan fried. I think you would like our fishing spot! Stay safe.
Wonderful video! I envy your lifestyle and appreciate your insight when it comes to knives and saws. You have taught me much since I discovered your channel 6-months ago. Please keep making your videos as they are relaxing and educational.
This video is therapeutic. Your skills with a blade and a fishing rod are a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing your nature outing with us. I love your channel.
Wednesday at the office working, watching this video makes me want to get out of fishing. Thank you! Virtuovice a touch of nature in the middle of the week
I Wish you would show us your entire bushcraft knife collection again soon :) I purchased the Garberg, very nice knife for a moderat price, first full tang from Mora. Also have and love the Firebox stove, both the new and the old 5" + the Nano in titanium.
I love these fireside trout fishing videos that you make wacko my friend. Knives, fly-fishing, Fire-making, trout lunches are my favorites!!! God bless you and your wonderful family. John
Just a lovely video. Passionate man. And, oh that lunch. Just ate my dinner, but it still made me hungry. Lovely to watch. Off to order a Garberg now... just need to decide on SS or carbon.
knife is the best thing to enjoy nature with! thanks for enjoying me. - ^ - really love your videos espacially watching you sitting riverside and enjoying your meal.
Dr. V., Thank you for including us on another fantastic fishing trip! I've been subscribed for a few years to your channel. And always appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. Blessings to you and your family from America!
Hello knife people . . . Dr. I do not yet have a Mora, but I just ordered a Companion on Amazon, based on your fishing comparison with the Bark River bird and trout. You said you thought the Mora Companion was a better fishing knife. For the difference in price between the Companion (US $13.70) and the Garberg (US $88.43) I could not pass up the value of the Companion. For fishing I did not feel like I need a full tang knife like the Garberg, and I have my hunting and bushcraft knives taken care off. I will give the Companion a try at feather sticking however. I love all of your videos and feel like you are a next door neighbor. Finally, let me say that after the NORK missile launch today over Hokkaido, my prayers are for peace and safety for you and your family. Phil in OKC
Whenever I baton with the Garberg the edge chips horribly - both with the factory edge and with a Scandivex. I do not get any chipping with my convex 3V knives.
Thansk for posting. I really enjoy the riverside lunches. I hope to see some more of the fantastic cooking vids at your home, aswell. Love those. Otskarusamadesu!
@virtuovice: Hello can you please tell me what fishing lure did you use ... it is incredible how fast you caught the fish! thank you very much in advance!
Love your videos....I have recently tried a new grip on my knives...try grabbing th handle tight with your index finger and thumb..then tighten your middle finger..then ring..then pinky...then you can loosen your grip a little...that way there isn’t and gap between handle and hand
