1. Bambarakiri Ella
The Bambarakiri Ella waterfall is located near the Rattota town in the Matale District, along the path to Riverston. You can find the waterfall at around 1km along the road from Rattota town. The fall is 3m in height, and there is a suspension bridge spanning the falls. The bridge adds a finishing touch to an already beautiful view of the waterfall. You can observe the waterfall from the bridge. You can enjoy the cold water falling down the fall by taking a bath.
2. Riverston Tower
There is a foot trail that leads to the mountain top. To reach the mountain top, you have to walk about 2km. It'll take back an hour to reach the top. A communication tower is at the top of the mountain, and from there, you can observe the valley below. The area is a bit cold. The wind blows down the road most of the time, and in the evening, the fog also increases. Anybody can easily reach it because there is a road until you get to the tower. Pitawala Pathana village is home to this 75-meter-tall Pathana Ella waterfall. Pathana Dola is the origin of the waterfall. It joins Puwakpitiya River after forming Pathana Ella Fall and Kandi Ella Fall. Anyone can see the entire flow of this waterfall as it cascades down from Pitawala Pathana to Puwakpitiya village.
5. Raththinda Ella
This waterfall is located in Riverston's Pitawala village. It is a three-part waterfall that is visible from nearby areas such as Pitawala Pathana and Maningala. Pitawala village has a footpath that leads to the middle section of the cascade. Once you reach the middle, you can travel to the upper and lower parts of the fall. There is a lovely footpath that connects to the other side of the waterfall via private land.
6. Sera Ella
Sera Ella is another incredible waterfall you must visit. The specialty of sera Ella is We can go back to the waterfall through a small cave. The view from the inside of the cave is breathtaking.
