Great video. While I prefer to buy American, my backup scopes are China made. The Rix L series scopes have been the best so far. Unlike a lot of scope manufacturers, it seems the RIX scope designers actually listened to what hunters wanted in a scope. 18650 battery, Good base magnification, warranty, quality QD scope mount and price. My only negatives after field testing are the crappy mic and the battery compartment latch has opened up while in the hard case traveling between stands. Never had it open while out in the field, but that's probably because I've been diligent in making sure it's closed. The LRF has a lot to be desired in it's mounting, but it works and is priced right too. Keep on keeping on.
Crappy mic really? I thought this was one of the better mic’s I’ve used. You can actually hear the thumping of the bullets. Not so much on a phone but on the pc it’s clear.
@@LoneStarBoars Compared to my other scopes mic's the Rix sounds like your talking into a tin can with a mask on. The scopes have performed flawlessly in the field, so the mic performance isn't a deal breaker, but it's there and Rix has acknowledged it.
Hey man your convincing me! How about durability? Any bug issues , like the Thor people complain about stuff like that. If that unit is durable then the quality is definitely legit . Finding the range , getting the Holds haven’t heard about that so far in research
I keep going back and forth on what I want to get.... if I could find a demo model I'd probably pull the trigger.. im afraid I won't like the L3.... 😂🎉 My dad has a gl35r an thats okay but I'm not super impressed with the picture when it gets humid...
Question: I heard you mention rechargeable 18650 batteries. What 18650 rechargeable batteries do you recommend? I would be using them in an IR flashlight.
Do you have an Electrical Engineer you might work with? I have a hog trap idea that I can give you, but an electrical engineer might be needed to concept the idea.
There used to be a lot of hunters here and a large family that I’m from and I’ve never known of anyone shooting any livestock. Most people from my generation and back was pretty safe with firearms. My dad made sure that I was responsible handling them. It’s amazing watching all these people in most of these cities doing really ignorant things with firearms.
