Rizal Mi Ultimo Adios rendition by Ed Manuel (must see) 

I live in Costa Rica, a country to the west of the Pacific Ocean, am an Latin American person (American Hispanic), listen to this poem, and I sit like Philippines and the Latin countries, we are brothers peoples.

Vivo en Costa Rica, un país al occidente del Océano Pacífico, soy latino americano (hispano americano), escucho este poema, y siento como Filipinas y los países latinos somos pueblos hermanos.

Genial y Supremo himno a su patria,FILIPINAS, TODO AMOR,SIN ODIOS Y ENTREGA TOTAL POR SU PATRIA CELESTIAL. VIVA FILIPINAS NUESTRA HERMANA EN ORIENTE, FABULOSO POEMA.DESDE BUENOS AIRES,ARGENTINA!!!

Next stanza goes: "Entonces nada importa me pongas en olvido. Tu atmósfera, tu espacio, tus valles cruzaré. Vibrante y limpia nota seré para tu oído, Aroma, luz, colores, rumor, canto, gemido, Constante repitiendo la esencia de mi fe." Then it will not matter that you forget me. I shall cross your atmosphere, space and valleys. I shall be a vibrant and clear note to your ear. Aroma, light, colors, murmor, song and lament. Constantly echoing the essence of my faith. Splendid!

Looking forward to that! And of course: Adiós, padres y hermanos, trozos del alma mía, Amigos de la infancia en el perdido hogar, Dad gracias que descanso del fatigoso día; Adiós, dulce extranjera, mi amiga, mi alegría, Adiós, queridos seres, ¡morir es descansar! Incomparable.

The Philipines accent, gives a very special flavor to this Spanish, really it is very exciting to listen this proclamation, a verse full of enthusiasm, of nationalistic love.

This video is very helpful to me because I was asked by my school's principal to recite this in an upcoming school program . Now I know how to recite it much better. More power to filipinos (half or full) all around the world!!!!!!!

its funny, its a filipino poem but my hispanic friends told me its english translation wont come close to its orginal version.

It is not complete! The final three stanzas are not here. In fact, the very next stanza is just tremendous, after he talks about his ashes being part of the country.

El acento Filipino, le da a este español un sabor muy especial, realmente es muy emocionante escuchar esta proclama llena de entusiasmo, de amor nacionalista.

I'm hoping that all Filipinos should realize that Spanish language is part of being a Filipino. Let's start learning again to speak & to write in Spanish as our alternate national language and also use it for our advantage. Espero que todos los filipinos deberían darse cuenta de que el idioma español es parte de ser un filipino. Vamos a aprender de nuevo a hablar y escribir en español, nuestra lengua nacional alternativo y también usarlo para nuestra ventaja.

It reminds me of Jose Marti,national hero of Cuba in the same times we were fighting to get rid of Spain's "yunke"(a yoke on your neck),and so I can understand all the words but his pronunciation is pretty bad,no offense intended,I do know that Filipinas turned into an English speaking nation so I more than see the difference right there.
