There was some noise about running a regional passenger line down this route from Raleigh to Fayetteville (the other option was CSX to Selma and then south). Any word if the new owners would be amenable to some additional traffic?
that crossing near chaybeate springs at 9:51 is so nostalgic. I used to watch ns from that crossing when they would switch out the transload facility .
