I love his rhythm, but I hate his hypocrisy. He keeps dissing other rappers' weak rhymes, but all of his rhymes are monosyllabic and strained. Good message, though :p
TheAtom there are some great rhymes in there... but not to the extent that I feel he is in a position to rip on other rappers. "able" and "table" rhyme, but "to bite" and "is hype" don't. that's still a monosyllabic rhyme and its only in a pair. heck, there isn't a single solid rhyme in the chorus. I still like the song though. I guess I'm not as picky as he says he is :p
That's nitpicking, really. "To" and "is" don't need to rhyme, as they have no stress on them. Very common thing. Regardless, I do agree that he paints an odd picture, mostly by saying (this is paraphrased) "I dare you to tell me you listen to me for the beats" in a song on a producer's album (which people will generally buy because of the producer, not because of the one feature on the song). He can shit on A LOT of rappers, even with the limitedly displayed skill on this track, but perhaps he oversells himself a bit. Then again, how uncommon is that in hiphop?
it's clear you don't listen to much jakki. he rhymes alright on this, but has songs where he keeps insane patterns and plus he's one of the best punchliners and storytellers ever. he's got every right to rap about what he's rapping about.
