I just ordered mine the carbon brushless AK 917. I thought about waiting for the AK 787 to be sold on Amazon, but didn't think it would be worth the wait. I got mine for $339, bet the AK 787 carbon is near $500. I saw a geared up version AK 917 doing 181 MPH, so the AK 787 has big shoes to fill. Great tutorial video friend, I would stand on my truck as well, if anything moving that fast hit you ... 😇

Seemed like a long enough runway until you put the 4S in there. That thing is a screamer! I just found you tonight, as I recently just grabbed a Rlaarlo AM-D12, it's my first RC since my Tamiya Grasshopper I had in the late 80's 🤣 I'm up in Turners Falls, Ma and looking for good places to run it, and my future RC's...yes there will be more!

Welcome! The AM-D12 is super fun! RC Madness in Enfield CT and RC Xcitement in Fitchburg are the closest tracks I think. Check out some local skateparks too!

Hey man just wanted to tell you keep grinding enjoy everytime i see a notification from 413rc 🎉 as a springfield native im actually going thru the collection and parting ways with some awesome rc vehicles. Would love to have them go to someone who could keep the hobby alive. I have a senton 3s and a big rock 3s both in boxes. Used maybe 3 times a piece. Willing to let them go to u for $150 a piece.

very cool how it tracks in a straight line... at such high speed. these look like old style Porsche 917 race cars..circa 1969 my oldie tamiya stuff tended to veer off left or right after 20yds.. max speed 26mph..lol and then needing some more aluminium suspension parts..... fun vid..more please.. N x

This RC IS modeled after the Late 60's 24 hour LeMans winner Porsche 917, that's why they put the spare tire their. It was required during the race in that era. lol 😂

Another great vid !! 🙂👍 My Buddy & I,, will be just running 2S on our carbon RTR's.. Plenty fast for us with our old eyes,, & will also potentially help to keep these ''very special Gems' in nice shape,, ''hopefully'' for many moons ........ Added,, Can you measure the O.D. of the steer wheel for me ? Think I would like to order one of those ''PN RACING'' blue silicone wheel grip covers, ''if it would fit''. An all plastic wheel just don't cut it,, especially with these ! 😉 I

Yes I think it has potential with some tuning. diffs seem loose, tires are not very grippy. it'll also need a programmable ESC as the brakes are all or nothing and cant be adjusted. Id recommend the roller option

You've got a xt60 to deans connection from esc to battery Why not just get a battery with xt60 connection?

4S with stock gearing should be well over 100MPH. You have serious problems with your ESC or batteries/connections or excess friction in the drivetrain. Compared to many other 4s videos on RU-vid.

@@413RC Wrong- some guys get well over 86 to 100 mph or more on 4s with stock gearing. A guy just posted 98mph with 2s and stock gearing. You can search YT yourself to find them. You should check your batteries and connectors as a start. Anyway, have fun.

@@warriordugan7236 Rlaarlo provides multiple gears with the vehicle. What he means by stock gearing is the gears installed when it comes in the box 👍.
