RM 'Come back to me' Official MV - REACTION 

The goat is about to drop another think piece of an album, don't sleep on this one y'all...

how i interpret the basic meaning of the mv is, all these "places" are societal norms that people are meant to experience in their lifetime but he feels like the wrong person in these "right places." (Having drinks with your friends at a party, Married with a kid, a boyfriend, still a kid to his parents etc.) He wants to escape these norms because he doesn't fit in but he's scared to let go of the familiarity of these norms so he cannot leave (he quite literally cant open the door which is his escape). This is until he sees the women who is like him trying to escape these norms as well. He feels like hes not alone in this feeling. In this moment he faces himself and he is ready to let go of the familiarity. In all these places/norms, he's now picturing himself as the right person and what that could be like but he's reminded that he needs to go by the women, he understands that its time to let go as well and he nods. They walk out of the door that's finally open and out of these norms designed by society. We see that its endless, so in reality, theres no escape from the maze of life but he is wandering, now with someone else who is also like him to find their "right place".

I think it's self internalization. Finding oneself, in contrast to feeling imposter syndrome all the time, so that one can enjoy being in different stages of one's life.

When RM was facing himself and he changed into actress, I thought of Jung's theory (Animus and Anima). After wandering in the maze of life, he integrated himself and he could put himself in the right place at the end. It was good to hear your voice full of excitement! I think you nailed the theory. The name of the new album is “Right palace, Wrong Person”. I think the message of the video alludes to some of that feeling

Doors have always had a lot of symbolism. The door with the three different colored circles could mean PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE . Triptych architecture in history has also had symbolisms for past, present and future or for harmony like life and death, man and woman, Yin and Yang, the moon and the sun with the middle piece being the connection, our enlightenment, a third eye, a doorway to inner happiness. Also the different colors and lighting keep changing and I believe when they finally go through the door the three colors on the door are red, green and blue and I know RM has mentioned RGB before. He's also mentioned multiverses and reading The Midnight Library (many similarities to the MV). Right Place, Wrong Person. It's conceptional. The place isn't wrong but he (we) might feel wrong. The conceptual understanding is that we need to find ourselves, our own happiness to feel right wherever we are. Lee Sung Jin (the MV director) said he and RM shared a lot of stories and came upon a story about a man that was stuck in a house with his PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.

Love this. My theory in RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. His first self titled mix tape the track DO YOU( the song that says clearly he refuses to be labelled or boxed into any genre). He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self, and he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

A woman in the MV and the parent taking care of the baby in the cradle symbolizes ARMY,.And in the beginning, the party scene and the girl brushing her teeth with her mother mean the normal routine before go to tMilitary service. . In the middle, a woman who gets angry and looks for it expresses ARMY who is angry and sad when bts goes to the army, and a parent who looks at baby RM from the cradle means ARMY who raised them in love~ In the second half, smiling RM talks with a woman and enjoys a party with his colleagues after being discharged from the military, and the scene where he opens the door with a woman symbolizing a fan means that he will smile again with the fan because the door that was closed due to military service symbolizes suspension. And I think the MV set expresses ARMY and BTS getting along together on the concert stage! LOL This is the right way to interpret it. It's stupid to watch the MV and simply say, "Did RM get married and give birth to a baby? Why are you fighting with a woman?"haha~~

It's also kinda reminds me with Taehyung (V) Fri(end)s MV when both video also portray different sides story in one place. While this video really capture how's RM whole life was changing better with the surrounding, while Taehyung life has gotten better when he was with his gf, even though he lives in a mess society and vice versa.

After meeting himself through Minha, every place he was in, his expression changed. If we are to put the album title in the picture, Right Place, Wrong Person - you will be the wrong person in every place there is without knowing yourself first. By trying to fit in, we lose sight of who we are because we become preoccupied with maintaining the standards set by others.
