I like your review of the ufx. I just recently switched from apollo twin to UCX II and your observations about apollo are right on point. I'm still trying to fully understand totalmix but I agree that it is incredibly powerful. Hopefully you'll decide to upload some videos of your experience and use of totalmix. I will definitely be on the lookout for that.
Hey! Thank you so much for your review, much appreciated. I am really confused between Fireface 802 FS and Fireface UFX II. I can afford 802 FS, but UFX II seems quite a stretch. Is it worth spending more for the UFXII ? Thank you!!
Hey glad you enjoyed the video. Well I think the conversion in the same. I think the main difference is some of the controls are not all digitally controllable. I’m pretty sure for recording purposes either will be a great option.
It looks like zzsounds have 1 - 802 left and they have awesome payment options and a great return policy. You could always give it a try and see how it works for your setup.
I felt the RME was a bit of a better fit for my steup. The apogee was great 👍🏼 and the sound was incredible. They did put their ensemble on and end of life cycle which means they are not going to be supporting it for much longer. Also it would have some issues connecting with my computer which was frustrating at times. But other then that the thing was build like a tank.
