would to remind Canadians host s harper did not bring the pandas to Canada.... Canadians taxes paid for China's gift ... not s harper.... with his yearly pay check it might have covered a generous portion of the panda's diet.... lol
Bruceman Batwayne They aren't humans..they don't know any of this and they don't know they are going extinct, they and other animals don't have the ability to learn all of this..so I don't get this comment unless you are joking which I somehow doubt.
Victoria P One of the difficult things about conservation is choosing where to put your effort. The panda is one of the 'charismatic megafauna' that gets the most public attention, but it's almost certainly an unwise choice to try and conserve compared to others. That said, the popular species can serve to draw attention to the conservation of all species. Just like the curator says in the video, the panda is telling a story. Long story short humans are destroying habitat at a rate that threatens the very ecological structures they depend on.
Bruceman Batwayne LOL as much as I'm all for saving the endangered species you actually have a point LMAOO But I would hate to see another species go extinct because of us. A species of rhino is officially extinct now!
I M P O R T A N T ---> Giant Pandas are NOT on the endangered list anymore. I guess if this zoo says they are, they can get more donations to "save" them even if this video was done in 2013 and it's now 2021.
So much money is spent on panda conservation, while other species go extinct due to lack of funding, and they barely survive without human intervention.
