sorry to tell you but you are wrong. turner was on part of the bridge when the bridge went down. he fell in the water and was knocked unconscious. people on another lifeboat pulled him up into the boat.

Such a lovely version of the song. I think the Lusitania is at least as tragic as the Titanic, if not more. The officers and crew did their best, but they really had so little time to do more. May all those lost as well as those who survived Rest In Peace.
I think the Titanic gets a bad rep since it's so famous, and the death toll was higher, so, TEchnicALly... I think its unfair to say witch one was more tragic
@@Surrenitie I lowkey agree, the temperature of the water during the time that the titanic sank was waayyy colder, that doesn't mean that this event isnt tragic though...
Titanic was probably the most impactful, it was the biggest ship to ever sink, it shoes no matter how big, or powerful something is, it can always go down.
It's sad to see the guy who fired the missle. It's sad to see that he regrets that he did it but it was an order. It's full respect from him being sad after seeing it go down. He didn't want to fire it. Edit : Ty for the likes!
@Jacob DeMarr well the sinking probably did contribute to the cause of WW2 and WW1 but the invasion of Poland was probably the main cause of WW2. And the assassination of the Austrian archduke was the cause of WW1. Also, it's Wikipedia, not Wicapedia.
Intereasting fact: the crew onboard the u-boat that sank the lusitania shot at the last moment. this was because, while they **were** under orders to shoot any targets carrying weapons and supplies, they were heavily split on disobeying that order since it was a civilian ship and had multiple passengers onboard even to the point of a fight almost breaking out onboard caused by some heavy arguments between two officers. the only reason they did shoot was because of the fear of a court martial and for being traitors and getting arrested and possibly executed for treason.
@@zay4401 no he actually died of freeze they found a body that looked like the captain's body and they think it's the captain's body you should of watched the history of the titanic
The last time I was on a ferry I found this song it was so sad I was going to cry interesting makes me cry so much by Lusitania 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
They were so civilized then. They worked orderly to get the women and children first. The Captain of the Costa abandoned ship. I can still remember the Italian coast guard screaming at him in colorful language to get his behind back on the ship. I think 36 people died...a crew member from Mumbai died. I knew the community he came from. He had been helping the passengers get off the ship but didn't make it in time for himself. He had gone back into the ship to look for more passengers and was never seen again.
@@YodaWazowski The documentary did it just wrong, he was on a bridge wing and when the water came he was swept away. Then people in a boat saw him (Captain Turner was unconscious) and pulled him in.
I like how on the outer decks the passengers are screaming and running for their lives as the ship ist ilting while the captain's room is acting like “What torpedo?”
3:45 Thats now how Lusitania sank... She sank in water too shallow to go fully vertical. She grounded out, split from the keel up (like edmund fitzgerald, just not fully snapped) and then went to a 10° angle at most
Yeah and RIP Lusitania The wreck is a mess under water and I'm talking about the Lusitania that because of a torpedo? Geez the bridge is swiped of and like in pieces
Torpedo: Let’s sink the RMS Lusitania! RMS Lusitania: *gets hit by torpedo and sinks Torpedo: Ha you will sink Lusitania! RMS Lusitania: hey torpedo! What was that for! Torpedo: I wanted you to sink Lusitania Lusitania: why? Torpedo: Because I wanted everybody to die on you while you sink Lusitania: oh yeah, all of the crew members on board me will get all of the people on my lifeboats and they will survive if there on a lifeboat not die! Torpedo: .....
I'm so happy that I'm a 2012baby cause it was so dramatic more than titanic :a afternoon to remember to every soul that did die in titanic, brtanic, the over sister and this video
