That's so weird, I was just thinking that the first track sounded like something from Cowboy Bebop. EDIT: The part where the kid is in a coma and is brainwashing people, at the end when his brain is disconnected from the internet.
BLAME! It's been years since I read it but the visuals are so iconic I recognized it immediately. Such an incredible manga. Its visual design and story effectively communicated complex concepts, causing me to think deeper about the things we humans build, the role of technology, the coming AI revolution and technological singularity, space exploration, and what kind of future we ought to be designing for ourselves and our successors. I should read it again. TL:DR the visuals in BLAME are so big they force the reader to literally think bigger to imagine them properly.
@@GidrorE if that is true then I am mistaken. If it isn't from BLAME! then clearly the artist was inspired by it because BLAME! was originally published over 20 years ago.

2 AM. Nothing but my thoughts. Why must I feel obligated to live? I have people who love me. This shouldn't feel like an obligation to keep myself alive just for them. They see things in me that I cannot see in myself. Why can't I see the man in the mirror that they see? I just wish they knew how I felt, how close I feel to the edge of the abyss. How can they know? I can only keep up the act until I can't anymore. I hope I'm not alone in this regard.
You’re not alone at all friend. It’s when we start doing stuff for the people we love out of just that, love. It’s not self-love that we need, it’s spreading the love to people who we love ourselves. Keep on going my friend, God will bless you with whatever you’re meant to do. Love your own and especially, love yourself🫶💯

This is or is very similar to very early work by H.R. Giger. He drew a number of these very thin staircases on sheer walls. IIRC he "drew" them by scratching charcoal covered onion paper with razor blades. I've had trouble finding examples of them online, but I remember them from a book about his work.
This playlist and some of the comments that are referencing stuff I don't know, it feels so weird, eldritch almost. Can't describe it better but I think you know what I mean, it's beautiful
That's how I feel 😂 I'm like "does the algorithm think I'm a sci-fi nerd or something?" But then I found a comment saying there's samples of music from two kind of niche artists I listen to, so that must be it. Maybe this is some amalgamation of things that, by themselves, would never gain enough traction for the almighty algorithm otherwise?
The visuals on this channel, and what a lot of people are discussing, are from a manga called Blame!. If this kind of atmosphere interests you, you should read it. (It also got an adaptation, and it's...fine, but not much like the manga.) This channel also seems to be doing an ARG, separately.

Blame feels like a reoccurring dream I had as a child/young adult. In the dream I’d be in my room playing video games and I was suddenly drawn to my closet. Where the wall meets the ceiling was a little entry hole, perfectly square. I climbed up into it and found myself in a labyrinth of white geometric shapes and boxes to explore, almost like the backrooms but pure white/grey and not yellow. That’s what I think about while I read Blame. Sometimes I still have that dream, and I always wake up before I can explore deeper into that other dimension. Btw I love your content ❤️

The thumbnail is a double page spread panel from Chapter 5 of the manga named Abara, titled Gousa Mausoleum. Abara is a seinen manga written and illustrated by Tsutomu Nihei. He's best known for the manga Blame!, also written and illustrated by himself. Serialized on the monthly seinen manga magazine Ultra Jump, it ran for 13 chapters from May 19, 2005 to March 18, 2006. Taken from MyAnimeList, the synopsis goes: Abara is set in a dystopian world, filled with large structures. The story revolves around creatures known as Gaunas, those who can shape bone like armor and weaponry around themselves by transforming. The transformation begins around the spine and then shapes layered armor. The story focuses on one such Gauna known as Kudou Denji, though he uses Itou Denji as a fake name earlier. Genres: Action, Sci-Fi, Supernatural One last thing, Abara is also known as Digimortal. And the word abara (肋) in English translates to rib/s, ribcage.
So the description may come from that as well (just guessing based on the "large structures" description)? "Commissioned by the Empire. Listening to this and seeing the Tsutomu Nihei illustrations makes me want to reread some of his works while listening, I feel like it would compliment Abara well..

Reminds me of Rain World OST a little. that feeling of emptiness yet a lot is happening, some things may feel repetitive, yet they're a new thing each time.
I used to have dreams of a space very similar to this, but there were no stairs. Instead there were scaffolding planks attached to the walls and it didn't matter what direction you'd look (up, down, front or back) everything was pitch black. But the walls were closer together where you could maybe jump from one plank on one wall to one on the opposing wall. Somewhere in the walls would be exit doors and elevator shaft doors that lead to various office buildings. No matter how you tried to exit these buildings you'd always end up back in this place. It was a recurring nightmare maybe reflecting the idea of not being able to escape your own thoughts but temporarily, but when you did, you only had floor to ceiling windows to look out of to see the world and then it was back into that dark never-ending shaft of planks and doors that led you back into the middle of these buildings that had nothing in them. The music fits quite well

This is for you, jascr32: We have three methods to manage our unwanted feelings: we can add pleasure to balance the pain (coping), we repress the feelings (checking) or seek control over other people or things (control). All of the weed in the world won't eliminate your unhappy feelings, because these feelings come from you. It is like lighting a candle to dry out water from an open faucet. No matter how much you dry out, it doesn't stop the flow of your feelings. These feelings are not bad: sadness is our body's way of flushing intense feelings, and giving us the clarity to learn. Growth can't happen without sadness, like plants will not grow without water. Yes, our lives would be less "messy", but they would also be sterile, dry, empty of real substance. A life of this empty joy is a desert, a place without nourishment or creation. Whatever journey you are meant to begin, you cannot take a single step until you first accept your feelings--the good and the bad. They are yours to explore and to develop, and with those developed feelings create the joy you once hoped to find.
hang in there. going through the same right now but it will get better. i know that's not very helpful but i hope simply knowing you not the only one going through it helps you not feel so alone, at least.
