Roach Fishing On The Feeder

Hi Joe what a great video. It’s funny how things go in circles in fishing, twisted power gum links I always loved them for general and short range feeder work. I use an old Drennan IM8 bomb rod for this kind of work and it is superb. I have put a shot instead of a stop knot on the line, hear the click and swing and it’s keeps the line pinned down but I will try your idea.Try out a long whip for this, fitted with a flicktip they are even faster. I have done a video on this for those unbelievers. Bill

Joe. Would dearly love you to do a video on the benefits of a shock leader, even at short range when you don't need one for casting. I notice you Rob and others are using them, as short as a meter you mentioned on one clip. Love the work, those Bream at Northampton were stunning mate! Richard.

Great video Joe! re holding the rod with no rest, is this because you would you miss more bites by putting in a rest and more tension to the feeder? I fish a drain ideally fishing for bream but miss loads of bites from roach on the feeder with a similar set up otherwise

When your fishing international the feeder link is rule but what about the stop knot in the quiver tip is that alowed?

Why do you fish a long rig with the feeder?

Joe do you not think an 11ft rod for 15 metres is somewhat excessive would an 8 ft be ok ?

Witch feeder do you use for roach fishing on the short line ?
