Here is our record setting lap from Global Time Attack at Road Atlanta. This is the new street class overall record with a 1:25.7. During this session we tested a 295 square setup on our prototype Titan7 TP-5 Wheels. This led to an oversteer bias in the car, but excellent front grip. With a little more setup time to find the balance, the car has more time left in it.

I raced there in my younger days before they put in the chicane before the bridge. If you think it was spicy watching him now you should have seen the cars sliding down that hill off camber at twice the speed. Praying the car was going to catch before you got to the front straight. It was nuts. Amazing job. Congratulations.

Nice lap! On last turn was the suspension bottoming out with the G out and downforce from the aero? Looked scary but nice driving! Car sounds n looks great.

Correct, a combination of lateral load, compression, and aero. We’d normally tune it out and raised the car for this track, but still want enough. Crazy how much compression there is in 12!

I believe they're limited to a 295 tyre so can't go any wider. And the a052 runs super wide so a 295 a052 is most likely a 305/310 in another brand.

Thanks! Like Todd mentioned, street class limits us to a 295 tire. I also like a wide wheel and a mild stretch to help the tire set a little faster.

Was the car running with g30-770 at that time. Car is very fast, gearing seemed a bit short for the power?

Yessir! G30-770 We were limited on gearbox options and essentially broke 6th every event

Did you keep the 1.01 a/r housing or switch to the .82 a/r housing for the g30-770? I have this turbo with the g30-770 on my FK8 Type R and it’s surprisingly responsive. Made 686 whp on Church automotive’s Dyno pack

We're still running the 1.01 housing. It worked well and didn't have any real lag. We're going to leave that housing on for now and test more in the future.

@@RSFuture I may try the 1.01 a/r housing but with the Turbosmart 45mm electronic wastegate. Just gotta find fabricator in Socal to tig weld it to the turbine housing with 90 degree schedule 10 piping and connect it to my Motec M142 with the half bridge module. It should still be responsive with the 4 Piston TR2 camshafts I just had installed. What shifter is in there, those throws are short. I installed the German made CAE shifter and it seems similar. Btw congrats on the Street Class record! Love your build.

Due to the classs we had to have a setup that was unstable yet stable on power down, so the setup was great for the purpose and terrible overall

There is still a lot of time to be had, especially in turn 1 going up the hill, if you aren’t using all of the track you ain’t carrying enough momentum.

Lets do a quick play by play,s hall we?? 0:34 - way early apex, over-slowed (90 mph) into T1 0:44 - again, over-slowed into T3 (64 mph) Just pedalling it until after T4 where it straightens up into his entrance for T5, then uses all that big HP in a straight line 1:10 - only 73 thru T6, and then PARKS IT in T7 - 49 mph, seriously? His back straight top speed is incredibly from a T7 exit speed of only 49 mph This looks like the car is either undrivable (very possible) or the driver is terrified of it (also very possible). This is why GTA is still the laughing stock of any real motorsports. Slow driver. Slow car. Tons of HP = win? Thats stupid. Why are we celebrating this, instead of looking at the video of how we can all improve? I see 4-5 seconds of improvement possible just off the top of my head.
