Ride along with Jody O'Donnell in his 427 Corvette in the Bob Woodman Tire International Challenge. Chasing down 911's, Boss 302 mustang and others as he challenges for the win at Road Atlanta for the 40th running of the Mitty by HSR.
So.. We obviously knew which Corvette was faster. But dang that 427 BBC beast looked hard to handle out there. And doin it one handed shows massive skills too. I kept yellin at my screen "get out of the way white Corvette he's faster" 😂😂👍👍 Awesome video!! BBC all the way!! 😎😎👍👍
My father had a split window 427 and one Sunday on the Santa Monica freeway some guy in a Datsun Z tried messing with him. That Z went backwards past my window like the one here.
I'm amused by all the 'handful' comments. Stays with everthing in the corners and blow them into the weeds everywhere else. The only wheelwork comes from trying to tame the massive torque generated by the 427. A properly setup L88 is a killer, both on the dragstrip and on the track.
Not really when you think about it. Hes got a crazy weight distribution and violent amounts of torque. Just trying to just keep the bitch tame is hard enough, but hes got that C2 masterfully blocking the hell out of him while a mustang is hot on his heels that he has to block himself. This is actually a really fun little race to watch
Bias ply tires. They move around more, but break loose more predictably and are preferred by some, also some class rules say you have to run them. Another thing, he is driving the car to its limits, that's the way you get past the whole field.
