I had a couple of Harleys (dyna & Roadking) and started to trade for a Road Glide but went with a 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT. I had that bike for lil over a year and actually loved it BUT it has a design flaw in my book which cost me the bike. The blocks for the center stand on the crossmember sticks out like a sore thumb and I managed to strike the blocks and bust it off the crossmember which resulted in the bike being totalled as it would have to be a total frame replacement. I settled with the insurance and found a BEAUTIFUL 2017 Harley Road Glide Ultra with very little miles and took it. I'm not going to lie I miss the DCT but I am getting used to the clutch again and the bike rides like a dream.
Put the funnel tool for the oil filter in place, take a sharp pick like object and poke a hole (1/8 inch hole) in the lower portion of the end of the oil filter and let it drain oil out of the filter. Go have a beer and when you come back, the filter will be empty. Spin off the filter and it will be a much cleaner outcome.
Great review! Appreciate the confidence you gave me on my new buy, a 2017 road glide special. Im still waiting to get in the DMV to really stretch it out but fell in love on the test ride. Been doin research all week and that oil sumping issue had me concerned a bit. Its at 17k miles now and buying from a friend who hasnt had any signs of that being an issue since buying new. Hopefully if no issues by now it shouldnt be a problem. Will check out some of your other videos!
Love your videos and I have a question. I'm going to my first Daytona Bike Week, and wondered about carrying a weapon. I usually carry when I ride, but this is different. Any thoughts?
Bars on main st have signs against weapons, sometimes we have been picked out for pat down. That's the only concern. Make sure u don't drink and carry... felony if caught
