No XR150L's or wildlife were harmed in the making of this video. Almost lost a good pair of underwear when I saw fangs though.

Not related but did you not have a video on the PZ30 carb I was wondering about the results , as I have purchased ( been delivered) the new 222cc kit for a very reasonable $150. US They have not picked a carb yet but mention that a 4 valve head and cam are in the works as well to make approximately 25 wheel horse , Which is more power than I really need . I know you don't want someone injured , but would like your advice at my own peril . As modifying anything from stock has it's risks and mostly in my opinion improves the overall riding experience . You are so far teaching thoses that only well gain knowledge as most of us may have that knowledge already and repetition makes the job simpler . Hope you can answer my questions . Thanks again .

The PZ30 is a good carburetor upgrade for this bike, IMO. It adds a lot of low and midrange power to the bike. The top speed is slightly better (only so much you can do with the 150cc engine). I just received the PZ30 (without an accelerator pump) and am testing it now (as seen in this video). With a 222cc BBK, I think the carburetor will need to be larger. This PZ30 chokes down to about 26mm at the venturi. A true 28-32mm carb. is probably better for the 222cc BBK engines. I don't know how much power a stock bottom end will take, but 25hp has to be pushing the limits, I would think. Hope that helps. I still intend to post a video of what I have tested and how I installed it (with an honest review). I have some other more important things going on also and that's the reason for the delay.

Thanks so much maybe a 28 mm Nibi carb , I have noticed the stock carb are oval or egg shaped inside and other carbs like you mentioned are restricted at the center , keep up the good work/research , I am sure I would be happy with the 65.5 mm pistion instead of a 70 mm . I would have purchased the XR190L if it was available in North America.

@philipcloutier2553 The 65.5mm bore is a very safe option IMO. I may do one of each on our bikes to have a comparison. The nibbi 28 is probably a great choice on a 65.5 BBK. I chose to test the PZ30 (pumper and regular) mainly for it's low cost and continued use of the factory airbox (the PWK's are definitely better in some ways).

@philipcloutier2553 You might also look at the Nibbi PEZ28 carburetor. It is probably perfect for around 200cc engines on the XR150L.

Yikes - I can relate: One time a buddy & I were bicycling up the beach on Ambergris Caye, Is. Belize & ran over a Coral snake.

Yeah, you can hit all the other's but don't hit that one.... lol, I didn't see it at first. I was looking at the wet/slick clay -n- mud thinking you were going down. Glad to be wrong, do you guys use any 2way bluetooth radios or just yell? I don't like all that but I've seen the kids riding who use them to deal w/ drivers & police. peace

We do use communication devices. We weren't recording audio (my voice just got captured by the action camera).

Well, there's not much more action than having a snake in the path >> > The "Action Cam" worked perfectly. Yeah, I know little about the communication stuff except I've seen the boys out raising hell use them to help keep them away from police..... see ya on the next installment...... peace

Looks like those Shinko 244s you very kindly showed us how to expertly install are working well for you! As a young boy, maybe 8 to 10, I was swimming in a crystal clear creek when I encountered one. Didn't realize until I read more about black water moccasins that we even had them in Upstate NY. My beagle and I came across a big timber rattler while crossing a footbridge once that drove my dog absolutely nuts. BTW, props to you and Mrs. MishMashMoto for being good role models and wearing head to toe gear. I certified as an EMT decades ago. When anyone asks me if I'm uncomfortable in full gear, I always say, "Sure. Sometimes. But not nearly as uncomfortable as I would be having cadaver skin, ligaments, etc grafted on to replace the ten or more pounds of flesh I left on a roadway. Gross, I know, but it happens more often than I care to think about.

The timber-rattler's of the Appalachian Mountains(the whole chain) aren't a big snake nor very aggressive but they're a small size that can trick you into not realizing what you have until it has you. I have a friend who had a 20incher which got loose in his house ; you guessed it, he found the snake by getting bitten at the elbow. Made him really sick for about 4 days but then it was like a bad flu until 10 day out. No, he refused the hospital(dumb). I knew there were some moccasin's near the coastal areas but not upstate ? Good to know. Almost every person who gets bitten was trying to pick them up..... that's true all across the United States, Be careful.
