Thanks for the input, we have gotten better equipment since this video. I remember jacking this up and forgot to turn the mic on so I had to redo the audio. I didn't want to do the whole procedure again, the bike was already gone before I noticed we didn't have audio anyway 😉. I'm glad that this helped you out some. Tony
Great video sir. Would adjusting those 2 places for clutch get the slack out? When I release the clutch lever it goes almost all the way out before clutch engages, and I just adjusted the cable and got it to that so still isn’t right.
Thank you, not much you can do to get the clutch to engage quicker being stock. I wish there was a adjustment for that. On the cable adjustment it's just for end play. Although you might be able to adjust around behind the derby cover to move it some. But the procedure calls for 1/2 - 1 turn out. I have always adjusted 3/4 out. It might shorten the take up at 1/2 turn out. Let's us know what you find out. Thanks Tony
So when I went to adjust the clutch behind Durbie cover the Allen screw was driven tight in there & I did exactly what you showed & then tried adjusting the cable & either way, tighten or backing the adjustment screw out on cable it wouldn’t be right. Either the longer adjustment screw was disconnected once loosened or if I tightened it up a little bit it was way to tight. Point is, either loosening was way too loose or tight it was too tight where I couldn’t even pull the lever in at all. I’m dumbfounded now & still don’t have a working clutch lever. Thank you for sharing again though.
@@HandlebarGarden I will try that one full turn, I did 3/4 back out so now I will try 1 full turn back once it touches. Will let ya know. Thank you Tony again!
