How much in claims do you think they pay out vs the amount of premiums they collect annually? It’s still a profitable business they’re probably just passing the overhead off on you. Everyone getting into accidents eventually has a higher rate than you and if they get into accidents a lot they most likely don’t have full coverage. So insurance isn’t covering their major accidents anyway

4:45 this is totally your error. You give so much gas and pull up behind him and squeeze him. He has to come to the right. If you just let him in front of you nothing would have happend. He just didn't expect you at that speed. People who drive fast often blame the other party, but that is just not the case. If you drive fast you have to accept that most people just can't anticipate in that speed so you need to take that in to consideration. If you don't. This happens.

at the same time the white truck didnt have to get into the right lane that quickly. sure he sped up but maybe thats cause there was cars behind him and he was avoiding collision from behind. the trucker turned on his signal about 2 seconds before turning and at the point the cammer couldnt do anything but hope the trucker looked in his mirrors which he didnt. id say the trucker is still at fault although i do see where youre coming from

Nope. That is negligence on the truck. Late blinker and not checking blind spots. Insurance company even saw it that way according to video. Also a truck towing a trailer should not have waited until the last second to get over from a lane that is ending. Honestly no one should wait until the last second but particularly people towing stuff. When I get over out of the fast lane (left lane) I make sure I can get over one lane but I also keep an eye the lane to the right of the lane I’m transitioning to. If there is traffic in that other lane, I signal early and make my transition gradual to make sure that traffic on the right can see me and also so I can revert back to the fast lane quicker if someone comes over on me while Im gradually changing lanes. Defensive driving my friend. The cam driver wasn’t driving defensively either so I can understand what your saying but the cammer had ownership of that lane and the truck didn’t. When two drivers who aren’t driving defensively meet, this happens.

#6 They are not a “last second” turner. You entered the turn lane way too early for the intersection. The part of the lane you were in is for making a left into one of the driveways.

Right, but you have to drive smart. Don’t see the point of trying to turn when the turning lane starts. If there’s no traffic I would do exactly what the cammer did. People who want to drive carefully are the ones who usually end up getting into a car accident. Don’t think to late to make a move. I’m on the cammer’s side 100% percent.

@@eliotsalgado9908 ...sorry but driving in the center lane before the left turn at the light starts is illegal, you'd get a ticket if a cop saw that, NEVER pass on the left unless the traffic is slowed or stopped and if you pull that move, be ready for someone waiting and properly entering the left turn....

#6 - Driving down the middle lanes like that is asking for trouble. In my State, 300 feet max is allowed. Last second turner in this case is someone who waited for the turn lane to open without having to cross lines you are not supposed to cross.

Yes I absolutely hate that especially when I’m trying to also enter the turning lane from oncoming to enter a business close to a light. People will enter the turn lane a mile back to turn left at a light but practically stop dead in the road instead of using it the rest of the time. It’s maddening lol

@@bobdarker519 I have discovered that many people refuse to use turn signals because as soon as they turn them on, other douch canoes like this cammer will speed up, on purpose, to prevent them from changing lanes. No turn signal means they have a chance of actually changing lanes before the asshats have a chance to block them. Not an endorsement, just what I have discovered.

#6 Should not have been in that lane so early. The yellow line has a break in it to indicate when you can get over into the turn lane. The Volvo should have still checked their mirrors.

@@WilC379 The guy with the trailer was coming up from behind him passed him and he managed to out accelerate him on his right side in such a short distance ... yeah he might not have been speeding but trying to overtake on the right is just stupid. I know it is allowed in some states but together with turn right on red it's one of things we see most in these clips.

4:45 - see the blinker, accelerate HARD to get right in the prime position to really take a good hit. It's really hard to believe his insurance adjuster saw that video and paid out 100%, that should have been shared fault based on your bad driving right there. ***EDIT: After watching this several times, that hard left hand shift in the lanes really makes it easy to misjudge blame. Red truck likely did get on it pretty hard but he stayed in his lane the entire way. It just appears he shifts lanes, when in fact white truck switches lanes even if it appears his path is straight. You can also see that red truck jams on the brakes hard as he honks. If you are pulling a trailer, you really do need to put the blinker on and wait five seconds before making your lane change, for this very reason.

3:20 I've had that happen to me while going 90 on an empty highway at night. He flashed the blues once, then paced next to me while i slowed down to the speed limit and moved on. Honestly was so nice because sometimes you don't notice your foot is feeling like a brick

Chicago is something else. They hate paperwork so they'd rather just ignore it. I was let go before when I got pulled over going the wrong way with no license and insurance. The paperwork is a nuisance because when it comes to accidents that I've been in (I was a bike messenger), so many statements you have to give even though they all get the same one. Lawyers, DOT, law enforcement. They all ask for the same shit lol

Never use the center left turn lane as an ordinary traffic lane or for passing other vehicles. Do not enter the center left turn lane unless it is clear of traffic.

@@joshuahuang07 Brian would have been found at fault here. There's a clear opening where the protected left starts. Before that, the center left turn lane doesn't continue in to that lane. You can only enter the protected left lane when the yellow line opens up like it did when the Volvo merged over. The Volvo had no reason to expect someone to try and pass them on the left because doing so is illegal and reckless in this situation

That's not a suicide lane. That's just a left-turn lane that's never meant to be driven in. A "suicide lane" is slang referring to a lane that is during part of the day (early rush hour) running all traffic in one direction, then completely the opposite direction for the afternoon rush hour and then acts as a left-turn lane during all other times of the day and weekends.

The term comes in when people either forget what time it is or it's about to switch and so they're barreling down that lane at 45mph and someone jumps in front of you to turn left. Ergo.. "suicidal". You and whoever erroneously calls a turn lane that is confusing a left-turn lane with the one I described. They're not the same.

About 4 months ago I got hit by a 18 year old red light runner on a wide intersection. Got the video on my channel if you wanna check it out. The driver was a 18 year old female that was driving her parents 2021 Chevy trailblazer. All she stated that she had a green light on the police report which is funny because I had a dashcam that recorded the entire crash. There was no follow-up to her afterwards so I don't know did she have any medical condition that impacted her because she is lying 100% and I going to assume that she was on her phone distracted and shit. Can't even handle a fucking 3 cylinder shitty SUV... I really hope she doesn't drive soon if she was distracted on purpose. Exactly why people tell you don't be on your phone.

That alone is stupid, but in a tunnel even way more dangerous! I am pretty sure even that highly cut clip wasn't sent to the insurance. If you tell your insurance: "I was going 75 in a 45, then someone else tried to overtake me with 85, and crashed" at least here, the insurance would say: "well good luck trying to get the money from your bank, you won't see a penny from us" intended reckless driving isn't insured. Or, also possible he just lied saying his insurance paid total claims...

4:42: Good example of why you shouldn't attempt to pass on the right. When that other truck signaled, notably from ahead, the cammer was accelerating too quickly into their blind spot. This collision was entirely preventable if the cammer were simply not speeding; or, at a minimum, the cammer should have bailed out when the other vehicle signaled over from ahead. This is called creating an incident out of nothing. Pass correctly and you won't find yourself pinned in.

So, since the cammer was always second best here, they shouldn't have tried to beat out a truck ahead to merge, because it was obviously a bad decision when it turned out that the white truck was actually exiting right. Thus, the cammer never yielded sufficiently to give way to the traffic ahead.

spent a bit of time figuring out where this was this is on N Stemmons Fwy right by Sam Pack's Vive Star Ford Lewisville. cammer entered onto N Stemmons, changed to the right lane of Stemmons accelerated to join traffic. You can hear cammers vehicle downshift before the trailers blinkers were turned on Truck and trailer put on blinker and moved over. at no point was the trailer clear of cammer Stemmons is also a 2 lane road for quite a while (edit) so there is no 'beating someone to a merge' here

@@joeslowy Video never lies. Pause the video sometime during 4:48, and the white truck is fully ahead and clear while signalling over. Furthermore, the cammer decides to come from behind and floor it while another white SUV also encroaches to merge ahead. The cammer _should be_ in all sorts of trouble here. After yielding and making a right turn into the right lane, this was neither the time nor place to floor it. This type of reckless driving is just begging for an accident waiting to happen.

You mean the person who tried to get into the turn lane when it actually opened instead of crossing a double yellow to get into it before it even exists? The person who could safely assume nobody would be in that lane next to them because they reached the legal entrance to it before anyone else behind them did? Oh that entitled last second turner....

The cammer was already established in his lane and next to the trailer before the truck with the trailer started to signal and change lanes. I agree that he should have hit his brakes and avoided the accident and that he was obviously not driving defensively, but ultimately the truck with the trailer did not make sure the lane was clear before he started to change lanes and it was his fault.

Just turning on blinker doesn't mean he can recklessly merge without clearing. The video driver could slow down for his own safety but he is not in the wrong.
