Masterpiece!!!!!!! sadly neglected and forgotten album!!!!!!!!! fantastic psych trio with obvious hendrix influences,heavy guitar parts,strong "open spaces" music fit for a long desert car travel,dreamy atmospheres!!!!!! GREAT GREAT GREAT - recommended to all collectors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My copy, long gone, didn’t have the ‘Featuring Noel Redding’ written in at the top of the cover. Maybe it was an early edition, which, when it didn’t sell, they penciled in to try to squeeze some more sales out of it by reminding the public that Noel Redding played on it. Oh well I used to get those kind of records (guitar, bass, drums, the HEAVY stuff) without even listening to it. This was one of those types of records…but nobody seemed to know about it but me? Bizarre…of course, I LOVED the record, played it endlessly in my psychedelic blacklite dungeon, which my mother totally destroyed one weekend While I wasn’t there. Sad, but another story. By the way, as a drummer I picked up a lot from the drummer, the mighty Leslie Sampson. Shout out to him!

These guys from LA had a heavy rock experience in between the West Coast psych. Still feeling the love of "67 in 1972 ,. The hippie music didn't disappear. The hippies were just tripping out on harder rock with the Mushroom Man. 🍄 Great one album wonder. As of today 7.13.20 there are eight dislikes. From people who don't wear a face covering in public.

This is a great listen! Lots of very cool guitar tricks here. Lots of it sounds very psych. My particular favorites are "Mushroom Man" and the title track "Road".

"Road is another new old band i've heard for the first time however i have heard of one of the 3 members the late Noel Redding Bassist for the Jimi Hendrix Experience the other two members I have never heard of,but Road had a good sound this must have been something he did shortly after leaving Hendrix,no disrespect to Hendrix but Noel and John Mitchell" Mitch",could have done better in other projects,they were great talented musicians that were veterans in the music business before Hendrix ever got started,but they could've gone farther as musicians after leaving Hendrix,this band Road could have been a great project for Noel but it must have not or I would've heard it,but still a great sound,aside from these groups I have not heard of before some of them may have featured well known band members either already well known or just starting out and became famous later in something else,thanks again for finding some more new old bands that have been revived"-😎.🛂🌐🌍🌐.

Rodger. Check out Noel's first venture ......Fat Mattress....they released two albums one in 1969 and I think in 1971.....

Rod Richards was the original guitar player in the band Rare Earth, and Les Sampson played with Noel in Fat Mattress. They were somewhat a supergroup but with a great album nonetheless.

1917 England some kids did photographs showing (Cottingley) fairies at the bottom of their garden (probably by their dad, Arthur) .. although known as obvious fakes 'how' they did it folks weren't sure for years .. :-)

Thank you. When I hear out of tune or pitchy recordings- which is often- I wonder if no one in the control room heard it or if recording budgets prevented fixing it. I know that that happens often. "Good enough.....".

Well he was already a jazz drummer in the Experience, it's not very surprising that he went on to play with people like Corryell and Bruce after Hendrix's passing, fusion jazz is the natural child of rock and jazz after all

Road is often called hard rock - the album consist some hard rock elements for sure, but it's more obvious spacey and psychy...and to name it all the time influenced by Hendrix is cliche. How not to be influenced by Hendrix when almost sharing life with him for several previous years? And WHO wasn't influenced by Hendrix playing energetic, powerful electric guitar rock music?

Мне вообще интересно откуда они узнали про этот альбом? Он же ни в Америке, ни в Англии не был успешен. Может кто-то привёз пластинку в СССР и она через людей начала распространятся?
