The footage doesn't seem as good as your GoPro footage, but it isn't bad at all. Plus it seems to have good image stabilization. I would think that the unit is more of a safety tool versus a vlogging tool so I say that you got a winner, especially since you have the skill to use it as both. Thanks for sharing. Godspeed
Hi Chris great autumn ride out, to me, the go pro has superior resolution, plus the GoPro picture includes your 2016 cockpit, witch makes great viewing, also your speed is clearly visible if ever need as proof, I’m looking to buy front n rear cams but still undecided. be safe mr 🇬🇧👍

Thanks Chris, I like the install of the VIOFO over the Innovv K5. The plus for the Innovv K5 is that it records in 4K. I'm going to wait awhile to see if VIOFO will later offer their dash cam in 4K. Thanks again for your installs I should no problem installing this dash cam on my HD Tri Glide.
It will splice every ten minutes then when the drive is full, it will start recording back over the oldest again. So it loops and records back over itself instead of the camera shutting off and saying, "sorry pal, I'm full." The ten minute increments (or shorter) are so if something happens while you're driving you can either lock that ten minute portion so it'd be easier to find if you need it for evidence and if you lock that portion manually it will not record back over that ten minutes during its loop recording.
That is really Kwel!! You’re right that some of us hate drilling holes. Butwhat choices if wanted the accessories? Lol… thanks for updating bout camera arrow. Nice country ride though… I envy that !! 😊
Good Morning Chris! I just watched your video review of the VIOFO dash cam you installed on your 2016 Gold Wing! The video looked a little grainy to me or maybe a little blurry; it may be these older eyes 😂, but other than that the rear camera looked clearer than the front to me! I enjoyed your video and the scenery all along your route😃! Be blessed, Loyal.
I'm not into it, don't understand it at all, But i love you And u doing ur thing, living life to da fullest that's alright baby brother, But don't forget to take da Lord on with you everywhere you go 🙏
I use a 128 Gig chip in my garmin cameras, they give me over 10 hours of recording time. Gopros still have the most vivid and steady recordings but others are catching up. these cameras will help you capture those shots that get missed when the gopros are not running..............JB..
Chris, I run a GoPro 8 with 1080 p/30fps. My cheap editing software wont handle 4k. Anyway, the video quality of the Dash cam seems lower than what I see on mine , or the other videos you produce. Interested to hear your answer about looping.
I believe that ViOFO intended for their motorcycle camera system uses are for capturing critical incidents playback not for making high quality RU-vid videos LOL.
Chris - the VIOFO seems a little grainy especially when compared to when you switch to the GOPRO CAM's. Maybe there's a higher resolution option on the VIOFO that would minimize that. Great review & test - thank you. We're hoping to finally get the big out West trip done in 2023 so motorcycle cameras are on my list to get done. I too don't know about the recording options. I don't want it shutting off when I think it's recording our trip. Lots to learn.
I own both bikes so in my opinion the best model for riding in comfort are the Big Goldwings, the newer goldwing are more up to date with better technology both bikes feels different when riding so the question becomes, what type of ride do you want to feel? It's too bad that Honda did not just combine both bikes together for a perfect machine.
@@chriscaliente5033 I totally agree Chris. I wish they did the upgrades to the big wing. That would have been perfect. I did see a video somewhere on RU-vid where a guy had installed a double din head unit on a big Goldwing some time ago but I find it now. 8/ I want my wife to ride in comfort, she has never been on a motorcycle before. She refuses to ride on my current bike and I don't blame her. It's a sport bike. She wants to feel somewhat enclosed before she will even try it. Maybe I will just have to take to the dealer and she what she feels more comfortable on and go from there. Thanks for your reply, I do value your opinion. I have been following you for some time now and you one the most prominent Goldwing channels out there.👍🏾🙌🏾
Be safe, that gopro looks like its blocking 80% of your forward vision!! Probably illegal and man is it unsafe! Loop recording will usually record over the oldest recording when it's out of space. By turning it off, itcwill likely stop recording when the disc is full. Safe riding my friend.
