Kerema is one of the most remote towns in one of the most remote countries on earth - Papua New Guinea. This town has been dislocated from the outside world for more than a decade. @rishiag75 Sure you can watch WB videos to learn about various 'development issues' but really, if you do not agree with their methodologies do not watch their videos to learn about issues but watch their videos to learn about their methodologies. As much as I do not agree with their view of 'development' I want to know exactly what they are doing, where, how and why. That's the only way you can possibly provide an 'alternative' plan.

Very interesting. Mostly a one sided argument meant to make a case for a loan to construct a road through the forest. It is not that a good quality of life, good medical facilities, good education (and how do we define that) are not possible without a road. On one hand we would like to honour traditional practices and knowledge and talk sustainble lifestyles and development. On the other hand we want capitalism to move into places whr an alternate model is possible. Some soul searching required.
