Hi Beni, I was diagnosed with Stage II Esophageal Cancer in October '22. I completed chemoradiation in January and experienced the same symptoms you are going through. It was really hard, especially after my radiation treatments ended. It does get better, I promise. It just takes time. To help with staying hydrated each time I flushed my feeding tube, I flushed it with three syringes of water. It really helped. The medications that I take were dissolved and administered through my feeding tube. Some were available in liquid form and administered through my tube. For nausea, my doctor prescribed Zofran that dissolved in my mouth. I ate a lot of popsicles and jello until I could swallow soups and soft foods. It took about six weeks after my last radiation treatment until I could eat "real food." I am still unable to eat bread, and I have to chew my food really well before swallowing. I am scheduled to have an esophagectomy May 2nd. The surgery scares me, but it will hopefully rid my body of the cancer bug. You're going to experience all sorts of emotions, and that's okay. So cry if you feel like crying. It's okay! Keep your positive attitude and pray. I have so many people praying for me, and I know without a doubt that prayer works! I will pray for you now and in the days ahead. Hang in there, buddy!
Beni. I’m rooting for you sweety. I feel your pain, you look sad and I can tell it’s very painful. You are young. You got this. Maybe ask the doc for something to get you through this mentally. It will cheer you up, I believe it will. God Bless you Beni. I hope to see you strong and happy next video. I love you. Sending hugs and prayers 🫶🏻🫶🏻🌟🌟💗💗💗💗💗
Hey Beni, I know you miss your family but we are your family on here. We love you and are here for you. You just rest and concentrate your energy on healing. You will get through this. Each day is one step closer to recovery. You are strong and you got this! Sending you a huge hug from Florida to where you are…❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Just wanna say God bless you for sharing your journey & Im glad I found your channel. I’m not a doctor, but I am a med-surge/oncology RN. The excessive saliva you’re experiencing, could be that because it’s hard to swallow foods & even liquids, as a defense mechanism, your body produces excessive saliva to help with the passing of foods & liquids. That’s just one of the things that could be happening, also, your treatment, one of your chemo drugs could also cause that. That’s just my guesses tho, just because I’ve seen that be a complaint from some of my precious cancer patients. I wish you the very best of luck, God be with you, hold you, comfort, & heal you as you fight this battle. When you’re in pain like this, please go to the ER, let them get your pain under control, they can put a pain patch on you so u don’t have to swallow it. When your hurting like that, it’s really hard for your body to heal. Let your cancer team know what you’re going thru, be very vocal! There’s just so much more they can do to help you. Sending as much love, light, & prayers that I possibly can. Hang in there sweetheart, you’ve got this! #gokicktheshitoutofcancer 💙🙏💙👊
2nd comment for this video. I don't know what you did to get jail but you served your time. You came out a new person and cancer smacked your arse. I am so sorry because I think you're a good bloke, carrying expectations on your shoulders of a man in the hood. You are so much better than all that, you have a heart. Sending all my love from uk. X
Sending you comfort and peace. You got this! You'll look back at this later and see that you did that $hit like a G!! I had breast cancer years ago so I somewhat know how you feel. Keep you head up! We're all rooting for you!
Great to see you! Hate to see you in this much pain😢 My husband has the exact same Cancer and stage. The pain, weight loss, the excessive saliva, having to sleep sitting up, is what he goes through. You’re correct, you ARE ALIVE! It’s so rough to go through, please stay strong 💪🏻 I wish somebody could be there with you 24/7. Crying is normal. YOU WILL BEAT THIS👊🏻 Keep the faith, sending prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey Beni. Stay strong. You will beat this through the grace of God. Have faith. You have a beautiful soul and are a worrier. God bless your mom for staying by you through this. She’s wonderful. Take care of yourself hun. Stay blessed!!!🙏🏻
I took care of my son through this same treatment, same stage, same cancer. This is the absolute worst time. It does get easier as you recover from radiation burns in the throat. The magic mouthwash helps, but we asked for fentanyl patches to supply a continuous dose of pain relief. Those pills don't give you enough relief. Ask for fentanyl patches at your next appointment. Keep talking to a minimum. It just irritates an already raw, burned throat. I am praying for you. I don't know how you are doing this alone. Prayers that you recover quickly.
Awwwwwww beni all your emotions are normal , you’re going through a lot . You can always let your tears flow , it’s very normal. Also don’t feel bad when you can’t make a video , you going through something pretty major , we all here, we understand honey. I notice you still have your sense of humor , and your positivity, you’re a jewel 🥰🙏🏾🙏🏾. Thank you so much for the update..
Hang in there Beni! This will all be over before too long. Really admire your courage and strength. You're young and you'll bounce back from this! God Bless.
Hey Benji don’t apologize it’s ok …. Your body is adjusting to so much ❤️ We’re always here for you and worry about you but praying hard and heavy peace and love ❌⭕️
Sending you nothing but good vibes and healing prayers. Only someone who's been through this can understand. Just know that this will pass. I thought that I was never going to feel better, but the healing came. Be patient 🙏 And it's definitely ok to cry and feel it. You will get through this 💙 GOD IS GOOD!

Never apologize... Your fighting for your life and you need to rest and take care of you. Positive vibes sweetheart...don't be afraid to ask your Dr for pain relief.. sleeping is ok. It's your bodies way of helping you to heal.

I'm praying for you sweetie. It's so lonely and emotional going through cancer especially if you're in it alone. I know you have a lot of family and friends there for you but its not the same unless they have went through it cause they dont know how you feel. Reach out to those you feel comfortable with especially your Momma. Allow yourself to have those feeling and don't try to push them down. You will enjoy life again I just know it!!
Yes Beni , since my surgery and the 6 years t I still have a lot of mucus I need to deal with on a daily basis, hang in there cutie , you’ll make it! I have a feeeding tube plus a trach in my throat, I need it for life my friend. But I’m dealing with it. Hugs for you hunny! I’ve never smoked a day in my life. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for you hunny.😊
I am writing 11 months late… Recovery is long and tough! And there will be several recovery periods: after surgery is very hard, too. And after immunotherapy (I had bad side effects and had to stop, but only 10% of people have problems with immunotherapy). It is a long journey getting through the process, all of the stages of treatment. Know that We out in cyberspace are all rooting for you! I have been going through this, too, btw. Thinking of you!!!!! It will get better, but it takes a lot of time, patience and forbearance. I am wondering how you are doing 11 months later. 🥰
Hey Beni! How are you man? I have not forgotten about you. I have continued to pray for you everyday. You are such an incredible inspiration. Please let us in on how you are when you feel up to it. Take care and God bless.
Ben its ok to cry especially with what you're going through, i cry alot lately but for different reasons but feel guilty now for crying. Blessings to you and hope the Lord and his angels watch over you. 🙏

Immunotherapy is what put me in hospital this November , respiratory failure from side effects. They keep me 5 days but now I have oxygen machine at home. They said,it will get better but its been a month and just mild improvement.🙏🏼🕊️

Wish I could give you a hug, you have nothing to be sorry for, let it out, HUG hang in there one day at a time, one hour at a time, It does get better, I Promise, HUG You may be a grown guy now, BUT to your mom you are still her baby and always will be, :)
Hang in there, you can do this. You are going through a rough patch now. Normal to feel this way. Rest and recover. You are dehydrated and hungry, makes you feel miserable. Plus you are in pain. It’s a lot to deal with all at once. You can get overwhelmed. Take it a day at a time, and don’t expect too much of yourself right now. Take it easy, Beni. You are going to get through this! Still praying for you. 🙏🏼❤️
Hi Beni ,greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 ! Sorry you are hurting and you have to go through this! Cancer really sucks !! Hope you are a bit better today ! You are in my prayers and God bless you ! Lillian 🌹
Beni!! ((HUGS)) Ok, now I'm crying!! You are struggling now. I can hear it in your voice and see it in your face but you are a warrior!! It is in your blood! You are going through one of the toughest times right now. It is only going to make you stronger. I hope you hug your momma real tight when you see her. She is staying strong and bless her heart. Hope your pain goes away. Keep smiling. Positive thoughts okay?
I hate that you’re dealing with that pain. I hope things begin to improve for you. I’m so glad you have a team that you seem to trust. I hope the next steps give you plenty of hope. I was really wondering if there’s a different protein you could try? Is there lactose in it?
The One I Have Prescribed To Me Is Soy Based But I Plan On Switching To Ensure Brand Because I Haven’t Thrown Up When Using It So Far. I Got Some From Walmart Yesterday To Test It Out. 350 Calories Per Bottle And It Contains Milk And Soy
It’s so sad to See you in so much Pain 🥺 i could imagine that Aspirin is Not good for your stomache . Because of that i think you have terrible Reflux Symptoms ( but i‘m Not a doctor) .. i have Reflux and it Burns like hell around the area of my Heart on some days.
You’ll get through this. It was bound to happen, you can’t have this level of treatment with no side effects, they often come in sooner. Hold your nerve, it will be fine, better times ahead. Just keep going. Sending hugs
So sorry you are going through it! I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! You are one hella guy. Try some Lidocaine liquid to swish and swallow. Maybe you need some type of liquid pain medicine you can put under your tongue until you are able to swallow and there is a nausea medicine called Zofran that dissolves under your tongue for nausea and vomiting. Just another suggestion to try your tube feeding on a pump at a low rate or take the Zofran sublingual and then do your nutrition in your tube? Try to put some electrolytes into your tube a little at a time to stay hydrated. Maybe call your GI doc and fill them in on what is going on. I hope you get past this or find a way to ease your pain. Continued thoughts and prayers!
Hey Beni, my Mom has oesophageal cancer too, was hoping if we could share each others recovery methods on how to fight this cancer. I believe we can learn a lot from each other since I’m taking care of my mom and doing all the research for her. I hope you’re okay as you’re reading this. Stay Blessed🙏
Please please stop taking Asprin. I've sent you previous messages as a ex hospice nurse in uk. Asprin can make your stomach bleed and create ulcers. Obviously that's last thing you need. Have you asked about pain patches so the drug isn't being digested but still absorbed. I just want to give you a big hug and sit you down with all my info. Sending all my love. X
Maybe they need to change your painkillers if you're having this much pain. You need to talk to your pain management team so they can figure something out.
There has to be something your oncologist can do!! Watching you struggle sucks!! Your emotions are normal I found out I had peritoneal mesothelioma cancer 3 months ago!! I’m 45 with 4 amazing boys!! I’m scared I’m going to die and miss them growing up!! Have faith in god be the best advocate for yourself you can be!! If your oncologist is not doing right by you with your pain etc.. getting another do what you have to do for the better of you!! 🙏🙏🙏
I Was Using RSO During My Chemotherapy But Ran Out. I’ll Look Into The THC Tincture But Honestly Anything That I Swallow Hurts Even Sucking On Hard Candy or Even My Saliva From Chewing Gum Burns
Just seen your channel and subscribed. I'm female in uk and ex hospice nurse. You can not live without fluid, you can live with a reduced diet and feeding through your stomach. You need regular fluid IV transfusions, a body is made up of mainly water. I'm in a different country but your health care provision seems lacking. Please respond and I will give you further information. You are too young and too nice to be another statistic.
I Went And Got IV Fluids Yesterday. My Doctor Sent In A Order For Me To Be Able To Go In As Needed Over The Next 4 Weeks So I’m Definitely Going To Utilize That A Few Times Throughout The Week
Hi! Are you able to afford getting vitamins through IV? That way you wont need to drink or eat as much for nutrition. Intravenous Vitamin Therapy (Myers' Cocktail) ???
Those are great to make sure your getting the vitamins and minerals you need to help you heal and overall well being , this being said they are very expensive….
@@missblack8810 Worth it especially right now when everything he swallows hurts. I am hoping he has the resources to get IV for water and for vitamins too!
@@benibeatingcancer it could be benificial , I have stage 4 cancer a rather rare one and people have suggested this to me , for me I chose not to because I didn’t want everything around me to be intermingled with cancer I didn’t want it to take over my social life as it had been trying to rob me of every other part of my life. Making that choice for me has made it easier to not be reminded of my situation all the time it’s funny , cancer forces you to live in the moment which is difficult if your not ready because life as you know it GONE, the future UNKNOWN all you have is now! So it’s a blessing and a curse because humans are either living ahead or in the past. NOW is a skill cancer will teach you fast , and right now your Beni your not esophageal cancer, So live right now you don’t need to surround yourself with cancer , sure if you need that support by all means , but for me the less connections I have to cancer the better. ( except for science and knowledge). Keep that crown high ❤❤
Have you seen the THC patches. They work for pain and you wouldn’t have to swallow. This video literally hurts me to even watch. Don’t ever feel like you got to do a video when it hurts this bad. Maybe do a flip card video so you don’t suffer.
No no no!!! GIGI beaver thinks you should go to the ER. No one should suffer like this. They can make you comfortable some kinda way 🥺. Maybe it’s not after-chemo. What if it’s an infection? At least call and ask professionals if they suggest going to the ER. ✌️🫶. Hugs from Virginia.
