I luckily skipped bronze and even silver because I prepared a lot before actually playing the game. The bronze experience would have been great though

@szilardsarkany6236 this is the worst it's ever been. Iv been D3-C1 for many seasons. I'm in plat 1 right now. I'm literally not good enough to carry them through plat 1. I'm completely flabbergasted. I'm not perfect and I know everyone says don't blame your teammates. But they definitely got way worse. It's completely insane how impossible it is to win games consistently.

@@WickedJester77 yeah what I did was just turn off cross platform play and I noticed all the trash console player vanished my matchups are a lot harder but full of skill based matches and players I actually enjoyed it and hit gc2 today after being stuck in champ 3 for a couple of months

@@WickedJester77same here, I took like a 6 month - a year hiatus from rocket league and just started playing a lot again. It took 5ever to climb out of plat and I’m now sitting in D1-D2. Was once a champ player and it’s really frustrating watching the game sense of other players

Too many variables to factor in for it to be factual. - matching against teams - teammates not playing - teammates deranking - game crashes - high ping - game not matching players correctly in terms of skill due to the ranking system not being accurate from a previous update where Psyonix deranked everyone 1.5 ranks - smurfs - RNG - The more matches you’ve played the less mmr you gain/lose (tested this with my friend making a new account and he eventually passed me even though we only played together) (tested this again with making a new account going solo in a playlist finishing at 2 ranks higher than my main)

I play exclusively solo in 3s and 2s and played 3 different accounts to champ 1 and 2, not once being stuck "below the rank I deserve" it doesn't matter when you get a bad teammate once in a while or a laggy game, if you consistently play better than your rank (even just slightly better) you will climb. You are not treated any differently by the game. Everything you complain about is the same for every other player. Blaming everything but yourself is the first step to being hardstuck.

Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Be grateful for the blessings you receive. There are those in this world who have more luck than others. Call it higher probability of positive outcome or chance if you prefer. At the end of the day it all means the same thing. It terms of what I could've done better I am aware when I am offspeed, miss the ball, grab the wrong boost, off rotation, etc. Been playing video games for a long time and have competed at many tournaments in many games so knowing how to improve or what needs to be improved upon isn't new to me. Ignoring the faults of the game that don't impact you but others is a fools gambit. It's like going to a 2 star restaurant and giving it a 5 star review cause you were one of the few people that got good service.

It's not just trusting your mates. If they are on the ball. And you jump and take their ball. You just threw away your positioning. The only reason to cut off your teammate would be at high ranks when you know if you're beating the opponents.
