We spent one month on a road trip through California with our 5 month old baby. Here are all of the road trip essentials for baby that we packed. Traveling with a baby isn't easy, but it's not impossible. These baby essentials helped make our first long family road trip more enjoyable.

Doggy doo bags and bag dispensers are great for diaper changes in the road.

Oh what about a night lamp? Weve been using this touch sensitive one since jr was born and is still super useful.

The Hatch sound machine also lights up and has been a great night lamp.

That's why we're traveling as much as we can since he was born to condition him

Not really in favor of the ergo baby for hiking. High potential for injuring / killing the baby if the adult has a fall. Much prefer, but much more expensive, the osprey pogo which has a roll cage, where even if the adult falls, baby is protected.

When he was smaller the Ergobaby made sense. But nowadays af double the age it's harder to walk and carry him in it. Will be looking into the Osprey as soon as the weather warms up.

Pacifier use really varies from baby to baby. Jr never liked it. Madeline so far seems favorable to them.
