I have been metal detecting for 37 yrs and I was detcing around it 2 story ranch house from the 1880s.huge wrap around porch. I ALWAYS check under porches because some of my very best finds have been under them. I got a solid hit and it was a old tabacco tin and inside, wrapped up in a hanky were 3 very old pocket knives. I still have them
Man that Cammilus is sweet, real beauty, that Case would make anyone happy. I have my dad's 3 blade Old Timer. It's very old but it's was his favorite knife he had before he passed away. It will always be my go to anytime
That camillus knife is a beautiful knife I love those old knives. I have a few old ones myself those are the ones that started my collection. You stole that case at that price I got to get me one of those
Excellent video lucked out an the algorithm recommended this. Glad it did now you got a new subscriber on me hope to learn more about knives and how to fix them up. God bless🙏✝️
I believe you are right about that Camillus, likely one of last generations of their production. Did you ever read about what they had been wanting to do with the old Camillus factory up in NY? They were trying to turn them into apartments and medical offices, but I haven’t gotten any updates. You should check it out, how cool would it be to live in a modern apartment in an old knife factory? 😂
You found some great deals! Love those Camp knives and Sod Buster Jrs are some of my favorites and it's Carbon steel! All of those are great! Say hello to my friend TC Greg and Issac! Tell them Mike Curtis said hey!
Just found a tops tom brown teacker #1 and an esee 6 rowen for 125 TOTAL. The thing is that they had an m9 probis and a gil hibben dagger for $50 each as well. Goong back for those
Best thing I ever found was a buck Nemo. For 100. I still own a model 184 and 185 know that I purchased in 1988. Broke the tip on the 185 and buck replaced it. Those are the buckmaster and buckmaster lite. I have an intrepid as well. Bought it at my local southern states l farmers co-op $75. The drastically cut prices for the end of the summer
Good finds! I have a question that no one can seem to answer I bought a boker 117474 jbg. It was a discontinued stockman, supposed to be green jig bone. But it looks black, very dark, i try to find some green in it but its hard. Is there a way to lighten, or remove some of the dark to bring out the green? Ive tried hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, and lighter fluid. No success.
