This is packed with places to go and a route to follow. i wish i could hear the sound of being there, the sounds of the water, the boat, the water falls. Thank you.
What an amazing vlog. I’m researching a trip to the South Island in 2020. This has been really helpful. Looks a wonderful, epic country. Watching this vlog I really cannot wait to go.

Terrific video - we are planning a trip this December and this covers all of the places we'll be touring! We're very excited and your video is helping us decide how to pack... ;-) And now we're adding 3 things to our must do list: luge, sea kayaking, and the spa - of course we were always going to do the spa, but now we know it it more like a water park! Thanks again for sharing!!
Thank you for what has become an inspirational vlog for this old man, helping me to recapture what it is to be young again ! In view of world tensions were I young, I 'd consider NZ a place I 'd want to relocate to ! Just a thought....
Awesome! Akaroa is kind of awesome isn't it!? We're currently doing 365 activities in 365 days in New Zealand and we're having such a blast! Can't wait till we get to the South Island.
Hope you manage to avoid the poisoning of the land and water now underway. envirowatchrangitikei.wordpress.com/2017/02/26/tributaries-that-flow-into-the-blue-pools-lake-wanaka-have-been-poisoned-with-1080-no-signs-out-tourists-oblivious-to-swimming-risks-ingesting-the-water/
Notice that if you add up all the numerals on a watch, they add up to 78, the number of cards in a Tarot Deck.....which suggests a connection to Time. Generally time is conceived of on 3 parts...Past, Present and Future. If there be a corresponding geometric form, it would be a Triangle in addition to the Circle of Time. There are Numbers which are square like 4 (2x2), 9 (3x3), 16 (4x4) etc., but there's also a class of numbers which are triangular. As a 'square' number forms a square. A triangular number forms a 'triangle'... eg. 3 (one dot above, two dots below), 6 (1 dot on top row, two dots middle row, 3 dots bottom row, etc.. To cut it short 78 is the 12th triangular number in the sequence of Triangular Numbers ! Being into the Tarot, thought you should know, may help with your readings !
great video...my congratuations...you ve done a dream trip..i´m planning to go there next year but i only have 15 days to over the south island..what time of the year did you go there and is campervan the best choice to explore the island?greetings from portugal
Dear Nuno, thank you very much for your comment. We went there mi-march and it was fine but don't wait more because it is getting cold end of march. Campervan is definitly the best way to discover this country! Have fun
Hey Ethan, all the musics were taken from a website where you can download music without copyright, like "la musique libre" or "no copyright sounds" channels on youtube!
tptwk hello, we spent 3 weeks on the south island and 2 weekds in the north island. We rented the camper van, pretty cheap, around 1.300 euros for 5 weeks. Pick up in christchurch and drop off in auckland.
tptwk regarding the exact costs, then it depends if you try to free camp or always go to campings, what kind of activities you do (more hiking or more paying activities) etc.
You can download an app on your phone or tablet that shows you where all the local facilities - campgrounds, toilets, showers, water stations, recycling centres etc are, as you travel around NZ
It does not matter which company you will choose, but please note that it is highly recommended to rent a "Self-Contained" motorhome; Otherwise you are not allowed to stay everywhere.
Hello Shane, We travelled the south island during 3 weeks. I would say 3 weeks is good because the weather is very special there so in case it rains a lot (especially near Fiorland National Park), you can wait a bit for better days!
roslina shahir i would say new zealand it not too big so you could manage with a simple map. However if you prefer having some electronic device, i would say both phone or gps will do the job..
