Road Trip - South Africa and Namibia Part 9 - Fish River Canyon to Namib Desert 

This part of the trip takes the road north from the Fish River Canyon to Sesriem that is closest to the Namib Desert. It is also the harshest and most unforgiving. The Desert Quiver Camp and the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge are just outside the Namib Desert Park gate. A tar road takes you 65km into the Namib to the iconic and photogenic Deadvlei and nearby Sossusvlei. Dune 45 is halfway there, which we climbed on day two. The Sesriem Canyon inhabited by baboons is just inside the Park gate.
