Hey there friends! We're back with another travel video. This time we head back to Nasipit, Agusan Del Norte in the Philippines for their town fiesta parade. Starting off from Panglao, Bohol, we traveled to the port of Jagna and took a ferry to Mindanao to enjoy the sights and sounds of the local party. Check out the great work by the residents of this amazing port town as they march through the streets full of dance and music!

Hello Ludy, kababayan kong tga-Nasipit! I remembered my late father's boss at NALCO was Engr. Bacol and our elementary school principal was also a Bacol (Milagros). Are you related to them? Stay safe and thank you for stopping by and subscribing in our channel❤️~Agnes

@@aFiliandsomejoe Hi Agnes, yes, they are my Uncle and Aunt. Engr. Bacol ( Uncle Dadong) was working before in Wallboard/NALCO. He died already last year. Perhaps your house in Apagan,Bgy. 1 is near to our house in Curato St. near Corvera's residence. Hope to meet you both at home. More power to your vlogs and I'm patiently waiting for another one. This town used to be so vibrant when Nasipit Lumber Company was still operating the strike by ( KMU) employees' unión took its tool plus their Timber Licensing Agreement was cancelled by then President Cory Aquino without thinking its effect to the community. Massive migration to other parts of the country leaving nasipit like a ghost town. Then because of hardship, other people in town resorted to looting. Nalco facilities ang equipment were looted, massive illegal logging of nalco timber area were not protective because there no more Concession Guards to protect its area from illegal loggers and timber poachers. I'm glad you feature nasipit in your vlog. Its now slowly bouncing back from its former form. I used to work thereat during my younger years. I am already in my eighties and planning to go there to recall those happy years with the old timers thereat.

Agnes' father was a worker at the old lumber company years ago. She has told me a little about it, but not as much as I learned from you. Thank you for telling your memories of the place. I hold a special place in my heart for Nasipit, as it was one of the first places I visited in the Philippines and where Agnes and I got married. I truly enjoy the town every time I visit there. I hope it comes back healthy and strong to give the residents the best little port town in The Philippines! Thanks you for sharing your memories of the place, sir Jack. Salamat my friend.
