That Lærdal tunnel - wow! What were the blue places in the tunnel? It looks like they had a place to pull over and also 4 lanes instead of 2. Are they places to pass slower vehicles? And what a great 'trip'. Very different from the train videos along the Flåm route. (Certainly fewer tunnels!)

The three blue rooms are made for a combination of service spots and psycologigal effects and they actually made the trip through the tunnel a whole lot easier, especially for those with claustrofobia. The bluish color are representing the blue tones in our glaciers.

Ah, very nice! Everything has been thought of. The engineering feat is simply staggering. And the attention to detail, both physical and psychological, is exquisite.
